Usually righteous.
Most games dont do "bad guy" play very well... and rather play the hero.

I can never bring myself to be mean in games. I remember trying to in Way of the Samurai; when I made the 'dumb muscle' character want to cry it made me want to cry. Haven't tried since.
I prefer grey morality systems or none at all. Binary is just so limiting and unrealistic, I feel like I'm being punished for being myself.

Yeah, I want more types of choices were you can be a "good" character, but forced to pick between two or more bad things. And by bad I don't mean the main character just being a dick and unneccesarily cruel, like in most games, but where any choice you pick can have severe negative repercussions for your surroundings. Not just "be the hero, but get worse items/perks, or be the dick that murders people, and get good gear/perks."
I always try to do things from all sides to see the reasoning behind the choices and the impact and weight that they carry. That being said I always play everything as a good guy on my first playthrough since those choices fit me best, I'm a goody two shoes guy. :P
I went bad in fallout 3. I'm still disturbed by what I unleashed in that game, especially that zombie hoard in the building. But almost always I go good.

Playing this game right after watching 'Scrapped Princess,' there was never a doubt in my mind Joel did the right thing. "What is the worth of this world, if it will not allow my little sister to live in it?" I guess that's my neutral side showing...

You should really, really play Spec Ops: The Line, if you haven't yet.
