To me it sounds very expensive, i cant imagine alot of people paying console prices for a handheld.

But if it's priced right then i think this will be a hit, it's a very good idea for Nintendo to bring their handheld and home console together into one as I think Nintendo has no chance in a solely dedicated home console again.

I think we're back to a 50MM+ console.

Bingo. They're in for a nasty surprise if they think they can charge more than $250 USD for this.

If this is going to succeed, it needs to be priced as an affordable handheld system. Console pricing invites comparison with PS4/Xbox One, against which it comes up lacking.

After the 3DS launch im sure they are well aware. If they aren't well they deserve to fail for not learning from past mistakes.

Impossible to say. Somewhere between over 9000 and 58 trillion.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Pretty much, yeah. 3DS and Wii U were both overpriced (at launch anyway, in 3DS's case) and suffered for it.

50-60 million would be huge for Nintendo. I think they'd be quite happy with that plus mobile is going to make them billions over the next 5 years.

This isn't really that low end ... this thing would be like 20x more powerful than the Vita and cheap by tablet standards. There's never really been a device like this.

For a console it is extremely low end. Hence it should be priced as a portable, not a console.

We don't really know the specs yet so lets not jump the gun there either.

The Tegra X2/Parker chip reportedly is a full 4 TFLOPS, obviously Nintendo probably won't use that but they certainly could use a configuration like

1-1.5 TFLOP (when plugged in/docked)

400-450 GFLOP when unplugged from wall socket/portable power.

The "dock" could basically just be a cooling/fan unit which actively cools the chip when its running full tilt. When the system is undocked it could run strictly in "portable mode" (passively cooled). That would make a lot of sense actually.
