So is there a reason you didnt just post this and leave

Less powerful than the 360? I'm going to be shocked if it's more powerful than the Dreamcast. Nintendo has fucked up.

This is like a reverse John Lucas thread. Except it wasn't long enough. OP, can you at least double the length of your Nintendo doom post?

Will copy+paste do??

It could flop sure, but there's probably an equal chance that the "middle of the road" 2.5 TFLOP vanilla Nintendo console that many wanted would flop too (grossly underpowered vs. Neo/Scorpio with no portability gimmick).

At least this is something immediately different. If Nintendo can pull off the whole "everyone gather around this little game station, now lets play!" and bring maybe some of the fun of arcades back in that sense ... I can see what they're going for.

But what if you plug in a Tegra X1 mobile into a Tegra X2 stationary dock?

Then it ll probably be a expensive system (cost more than a PS4), and equal to a PS4 in performance.

The price cost would probably kill it, sales wise then.

6: Very few poeple buy handhelds anymore. Hanheld console sales recently have been at a decline for years and the idea of a stationary and handheld hybrid couldn't become anything but a failure.

I always find this line of  thinking funny.  Handhelds don't sell quite as much as they used to, due to tablets and smartphones etc., but they still sell pretty good.

The 3ds, which is about 5 years old is outselling the XBOX 1 so far this year.

I won't read it anyway, so it's not like I'll mind.

Youre no fun

Nintendo is probably getting the Tegra chips for dirt, dirt cheap because Nvidia hasn't been able to find any vendors for the chips in traditional tablets/phones, so Nintendo was probably like their last resort.

The chip itself probably doesn't cost much at all, the Nvidia Shield console is $199.99 with the Tegra X1, and that was *two years ago* by the time March 2017 rolls around.

$299.99 = Basic NX

$99-$129.99 extra = Home Console Dock with second Tegra NX Processor

Sounds reasonable enough.
