Is he really saying that the droughts/the third place performance is intentional? I highly doubt that this was their plan.

no, he means that successful or not, they take their time until the next "big idea"

now one cares what you believe in,.. say that you have a game in development for it or fuck off.

lmao

We heard all this before with the Wii U. Most publishers are going to give a token effort and if Nintendo gets the NX to take off they'll all jump on board again with a mixture of decent games and shovelware like we seen with the Wii.

Has Take-Two ever published a game on a Nintendo console?

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars came out for DS.

So, what this guy says about the NX is just BS. They don't care about Nintendo or have any interest in their new console. This console could be shit for all we know

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I believe that NX will take everyone by surprise and here's why:

1.) It's an entirely new concept. So that could mean just an unnecessary concept or pure innovation. Yes, that could mean super gimmicky but...

2.) It's powerful enough to at least run current gen software. Sonic 2017 and Dragon Quest XI are 2 games that lead me to believe this. So companies can at least port games to it without having to create special development teams. Thus, it wouldn't hurt to at least port your games to the NX...that is if NX isn't more powerful than PS4 or Xbone.

3.) Though it's fairly powerful and retains a gimmick of some sort, it won't be sold at a loss.

So what I'm getting at is, the NX might be a new idea, that is powerful, that doesn't get sold at a loss. This is the sweet spot, I think, for Nintendo. Innovation, Power, and Price. So maybe the NX, not taking into account what Ubisoft said, might try to capture casuals and hard core gamers. But that's just how I see NX being marketed. It could go totally south which it might. But it's fun to speculate.

@2 - i personally think it would be impossible for nintendo to develop a system that isn't at least as powerful as the original xbox one.  i mean,.. really old parts start to get more expensive not less.  the only problem with that is launching in 2017 MSony will be moving away from that standard in 1 year for scorpio and (imo) in 3 years for the next playstation.  that's not a very long shelf life.

it means "We are not with them right now, but we are not their enemy... just in case"

What it really means is "LOL we had already counted them out before we knew what their next machine is, but we obviously aren't going to say that because it would make us look incredibly biased."

But that's okay. What can be taken away from that is that NX won't be about Nintendo sucking up to third party publishers, so there's great potential for a good Nintendo system.

we don't know anything about the system so you can't say that Nintendo is not going to have third party games. Take Two knows more than us that's for sure, they don't need Nintendo, but, the ceo says that he's a believer, he said that two different times. Don't be so negative, or you know what, be negative, that way "you will say wow"

Lots of actually, even Wii U had one since 2K sports parent company is Take-Two.

But, Scorpio as far as we know, is supposed to support all Xbox One consoles so it's not really an entirely new console. While PS Neo is being touted as a premium PS4 with added VR support, etc. Not a new console. So the games, more or less, will remain the same. In retrospect, the Neo won't be the PS5 and the Scorpio isn't the Xbox Two for very different reasons but it doesn't effect how NX might recieve ports from either console/company.

Something tells me NX is going to do something that ensures its own shelf life without having to face a failure and quickly band together to make a new console. Something tells me that NX isn't your ordinary console.
