Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Looks like TG16 will be added to Wii U Virtual Console

I think the US got them a few weeks ago. I hope they release Castlevania Rondo of Blood.

Why? I mean, like you said, hopefully NX retains the progress of the Wii U virtual console and improves on it but if it doesn't, it simply wouldn't make sense. The Wii U is on its way out and I doubt people will be rushing to get a Wii U for turbografx games. Hopefully the NX does VC right. Gamecube VC needs to happen.

Not downplaying PcEngine games at all. I love the system, especially New Adventure Island. it has some great titles but I just hope this isn't some quick move that has not future with NX.

Rondo of Blood is so damn good.

@OP: this is great news! The more VC titles, the better!

It has to be said that VC BC means Wii U BC altogether. I think the writing was on the wall for a long time though, outside of the fact that Nintendo explicitly said that their next platform would absorb the Wii U's architecture.

What really has me confused is the N3DS Super Nintendo stuff, since that's late in that cycle as well.

finally Koanmi gives more love to their Hudson IPs

The game is meh and doesn't hold a candle to Super Castlevania IV. There's also something off with its music.

At least that game(Super Castlevania IV) is still the best of all time.

How about they should bring this gem?

Any Idea ehy they had to start VC from scratch in the first place? I mean, WiiU is bc with the Wii (and gamecube even though nintendo didn't officially implement that as a feature.) so shouldn't it have been able to play the whole Wii virtual console library anyways?

Oh my gosh, thanks for this picture QUAKECore89, never saw that catridge before (I only know the European NES Version). This picture made my day (and made me sad at the same time because of the old HK movie-days, they never come back again).

The Wii-Wii U switch was far more complicated than the GCN-Wii switch. It's why Wii games must literally be booted up from a Wii mode.

Also, and this is the biggest reason, the Wii Shop was garbage. But being honest, they probably could have done a better job. 3DS plays DSiware games just fine, and that's integrated into the eshop fine. Same with Wii games.
