Let's say you were the president of nintendo, and had the power to change whatever you wanted. What would you do? 

I have a few things in mind:

1) Focus on advertising more. Mobile games and commercials are a great tag duo for huge cash. 

2a) Release a bunch of VC games for ios/android for 99 cents each, or...

2b) Make a netflix-like service where you have access to all the VC games released. 7 bucks monthly for all NES games, 8 for SNES, 10 for N64, and 15 for gamecube. Package deal is 29.99 and let's you play from all four console. Heck, teaming up with netflix can guarantee instant success and dominance in the market. 

3) Make Paper Mario go back to its original roots. Keep the newer games, but let anything different be high quality spinoffs. Think of it as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series for Paper Mario. 

4) No whacky gimmicks for the NX controller. An upgraded version of the Wii U pro gamepad should be the standard controller.

5) Decrease prices more often. Ridiculous how games take forever to decrease in price. This will allow games to gain sales after release and not die after a month.

6) improve the sales on the eshop. a lot of games on sale are usually shovelware. Just look at the most recent games on sale currently...LuvMeBuddies. Really Nintendo? Games like MK7, Pokemon X, Luigi's mansion, etc etc should occasionally go on sale for around 40% off.

7) Improve the hardware. The mobile market is big enough to allow the successor of the 3ds be decently strong. no reason why it should still be weak.

8) Bring back Ice Climbers and Snake to smash.

9) mario games on mobile. Make it like candy crush. bunch of levels, progressively increases in difficulty...add 99 cents revivals, micro transactions, etc etc. Mario is still relevant today. can easily get nintendo a lot of money.

Make the Virtual Boy 2 and see the inevitable market dominance.

I wouldnt be, because I couldnt handle it. And neither could you (some things for sure like advertising more and so on but most of the stuff you are writing are not up to the president, and the third party going everywhere, talk about watering down the franchises into nothingness. Except for Nautilus - Virtual Boy 2, that is a rock solid decision by president Nautilus.

Well, I love what Gamefreak and Pokemon Company has been doing for Pokemon. Pokemon is still one of the best and most loved Nintendo franchises and Pokemon has films, anime, TCG, mobile apps and games, great sales, great marketing, etc. I think Pokemon is one of the most successful Nintendo franchises.

Nintendo needs to do more for other franchises what they've been doing for Pokemon.

The one thing I've always wanted...is online multiplayer for EVERY Nintendo game on their eshop. Imagine having NES, SNES and N64 games that you can play online. Bright flash. Mushroom cloud. Minds blown.
