First sky now some author? People sure like suing No Mans Sky don't they?

It seems that people also love to sue Nintendo

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

How can you even patent a mathematical formula?

It's the same case.

So nothing actually is happening over this?

Edit:  Reading the original source of all this, it might be as simple as the author of the article using the word "superformula".

How is it the same case?

Because Johan gielis is a co-owner of genicap, the Dutch company threatening to sue hello games.

Sky suing Hello Games over the use of "sky" is a different thing than Genicap possibly suing over the "superformula".  It's already been settled.

This game seems to be full of potential excitement!

Probably inspired by superformula but written from the ground up in a completely different way.

umm... what's that got to do with sky tv suing them?

Sky TV is suing over syndycated broadcast rights to The Cosby Show, which was purchased by Hello Games for ( an understandably ) low price, which undercuts the deal Sky currently has with NBC/Bill Cosby. I said currently because Sky claims they STILL have a year left on their contract. The other issues are a clause that Sky has that A: Gives them matching rights, and more importanly B: First crack at the contract when it expires.
