People still buy physical media with games on them? I thought only confused grandparents did that these days.

But either way, the NX was discovered to not use physical media a long time ago: http://metro.co.uk/2015/08/24/nintendo-patent-download-only-console-5357617/

Neither mobile nor PC use physical media any more, this is the last generation consoles will use them as well.

I highly doubt that the NX will be a digital only system. Nintendo will get backlash for that if that ends up being true by the time they officially reveal it.

Yeah, it kinda does. I miss when you'd buy a game, it would give you a code to put in and you get some coins to use to buy a game. Now you have to buy them digitally, which I don't do. I got a ton of platty coins, but I can't do much with them. I wish they would offer games with those coins. Maybe like... 5000 coins for a game. Seems fair maybe.

There is nothing wrong with the site. It's actually well designed and easy to use.

The biggest "problem" for some is that it's digital only. And it looks like it will stay that way in the future. If My Nintendo is integral to NX, then it will push big on digital use.

Yea the site isn't that bad.  I was just stoned off my ass and expecting more link tabs at the top like they have on most of their site layouts (pretty sure the old Club Nintendo didn't have too many scroll down parts especially on main page).  I then look over at my scroll bar and had a Home Simpson doh moment.

Rewards have mostly been jank, no physical definitely sucks. Still, I'm gonna wait until NX before passing judgement since I think that was the whole reason they switched to this.

The thing that sucks is the fact that they're no longer rewarding people who buy physical media. That's complete balls imo and stupid because 80% of their sales or higher come from physical media purchases.

I got sweet discounts on my Nintendo and it rewards digital purchase and I'm a 100% digital Nintendo buyer.

So for me, My Nintendo > Club Nintendo.

However, there are lots to improve.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

The points system isn't that complicated. There's even a part of the site that explains their meaning.

- Miitomo coins are the currency you get by playing Miitomo. These coins can only be used in Miitomo.

- You earn Platinum coins by signing into Nintendo' various online services. These coins can be used for the smaller prizes such as getting 15% of a game or a wallpaper for your 3DS.

- Gold Points are earned by buying games on the e-shop. These coins can only be used to buy other games or to get a bigger discount (usually 30% or higher)

They couldn't do a one currency fits all model because it would be too hard or too easy to get certain things. I'm also sure My Nintendo was probably meant to be more for NX than it was for Wii U and 3DS and we'll probably see the program get extended even further as time goes on.

Yeah, I'd rather have Club Nintendo back. This new thing has been pretty unfun and useless to me.
