At this point, I legitimately cannot understand what you are even trying to say in the bolded. I'm not trying to be a Grammar Nazi; that is truly such a mangled ball of English that it is unintelligible.

I'm going to take a stab at trying to clear some things up. Let me put this as simply as possible. I said, straight up front, that I was comparing games. I never said that I was not comparing games. The phrase "I never said I wasn't comparing" is a double negative, which effectively means that I am saying I am comparing things.  This was in the very first post where I mentioned it. My position has never been that I am not comparing things.

I'm having a hard time believing that you don't know what the phase stating the obvious means.

This has nothing to do with Grammar, but everything to do with your comprehension. Clearly you don't understand anything about what I'm saying otherwise you wouldn't be replying and derailing my thread. Since you said you don't really care in an earlier post, I suggest you just drop it and move on.

I'm well aware of what the phrase "stating the obvious" means. What I'm less certain of is whatever...

"I said you was comparing, and I never said you wasn't. In other words, I was only stating the obvious fact, but you didn't thought of that did you"

...this is supposed to mean.

Setting aside the numerous grammatical errors, these sentences are completely vague and lack context. What is the obvious fact you are stating? What does "I never said you wasn't" refer to? It can't be comparing, because you already said you did claim that I was comparing. And most of all, what exactly "didn't I thought of?"

I'm sincerely not trying to just be a grammar nazi here; but I legitimately cannot understand this. I'm not trying to degrade you by asking if English is your first language; since I have a number of friends who don't speak English particularly well, I have some experience with choosing words that are easier to understand for people learning the language. If English is your first language, then, well...it might be time to ask for a refund from your elementary school.

Finally, I said that I don't care if you buy my theory or not. What I do care about is if you take that theory and try to twist it into something it isn't. If you don't buy my ideals; fair enough. But don't claim it's something it isn't based off a misunderstanding.

Around the Network

Looks dull to me. It will probably end the streak of me buying cod yearly.

I appreciate that neither of you have completely succumbed to personal shots, but this back and forth really isn't going anywhere. Let's take a step back before this gets heated, or switch to PM if you really want to continue discussing semantics.
