Forums - Gaming Discussion - Infinite Warfare Hate Is On The Rise- "Black Sky" Gameplay Video

I'm not a hardcore Call of Duty fan, in fact the first and last one I played was MW3 on PS3 some good few years ago and I didn't like it that much. Now Call of Duty Infinite Warfare is coming out soon and I'm actually liking what I'm seeing.

I really don't know what's wrong because It looks really good to me, and I want to buy it, so why is this game getting so much hate? Just look at it on youtube and you'll see the thumbs-down is beating the thumbs-up.

it's because fans want a historical game. If they want a futuristic shooter they can play Halo or the dozens of other future shooter games.

in general, FPS feels very over saturated and bland. we need more innovation. Games like Splatoon are new and great to try out. Infinite Warfare is doing something that isn't anything new.

There are games with innovations, but turns out to not be fun. IW looks fun, and this is coming from someone that does not keep up with COD.

I don't get the hate at all. When I watched the gameplay footage at the sony press conference i didn't know it was a COD game and i didn't care about it because i'm not into first person shooters. But a lot of people seemed to be very excited about it without knowing it was Infinite warfare.

People should learn to move on if they don't like something they used to. They should just find another game to be excited about. But i guess if you spent a long time defending the COD francise against Battlefield and suddenly the other game looks more appealing to you it can be really confusing and upsetting. All that hate is really amounting to nothing though.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Because Ghosts was probably the worst COD game ever made and Infinity Ward aren't the studio they used to be. MW2 was bordering on multiplayer perfection on console and after that they continuously went down hill. Disappointment appears to have turned to anger.

Then there's the trolls that join in to see how high they can make the thumbs down counter go.....

I can't speak for anyone else, but the reason I personally hold this game in such contempt is that it seems to consolidate everything wrong with current gen AAA gaming into one package.

It looks extremely generic, stale, soulless, and creatively bankrupt, like they just fed leftover code from Advanced Warfare and Black Ops III through some kind of automated level generator that spat out this. There doesn't seem an ounce of human feeling and craftsmanship in it, it may as well have been assembled by a computer.

Just my humble opinion of course.

Hating COD is cool. It's the bandwagon mentality.

I hate COD but for some reason I thought that was incredible. Thank God they changed it. Perhaps they'll be able to shed the narrow minded teenagers that tend to be the core audience and attract the more mature gamer.

The PS5 Exists.

Because people like to jump on the bandwagon.

I dont think many actually hate the CoD games, it's an ok franchise. However the games are bland and boring, nothing to get excited about. As much vanilla as vanilla can be.

I enjoyed the first few games, then I stopped caring since they were so similar in most ways. If they would stop making it an anual franchise it would actually become something to look forward to. But that wont happen since it prints money and we, the customers are sheep and buys it anyway-
