You can either log into the app with the google account or you can use your pokemon specific account to log in instead.

Agree with this, the last 2 evenings have been pretty cool, self and the wife out walking around our town catching pokemon, chatting to others about where a damn Staryu was hiding and generally really enjoying the app.

As a pokemon game, it's terrrrrrrrible, just utterly awful, the gym battles barely work at the best of times and the battling is closer to cookie clicker than a pokemon game, that said as a social app it is phenomenal, it has so many people out and catching Mon in my town I've been amazed and some of the Pokestops are things which I hadn't actually noticed in the town before so it's cool getting drawn to some of the more historic area's of the towns.

Easily the best android app I've found to date... beating out King Oddball for that number 1 spot.

Still playing it too. Despite how simple it is, it's really fun to play. It's probably the thrill of adventure of finding pokemon and finding new ones you haven't caught yet. And the thrill you feel when your egg finally hatches, possibly holding something cool, just keeps me coming back... Gym battling is fun too xD

I stopped using the app a few days ago. Got bored and move on. Friends at work dont even talk about it anymore. One thing i dont get is how this app is making alot of money. I dont know why people would spend money on the game because you can do all the fun part without spending money

You should probably include the fact that those 20 million users are US exclusive (so that's around 1 in 12 people across the entire country). Which is quite remarkable, really. I'd expect usage to decline steadily at this point but still...don't think anyone realistically saw this one coming!

I hope you keep us updated with new graphs. Would be interested to see how this looks next month.

After a month and the game continues to do well then we have to wait another month? :p

 I remember when it first came out it was wait to next week, or next month! Its on its 3rd week now and is still doing amazing :0 WW has just started with japans release (and finally france tomorrow). Wonder when the updates will start?!?!?

Well it will eventually come to an end, it's in the nature of the game, no amount of updates will keep this alive for very long. Unless there is an update that removes the walking part. People are having fun right now but don't forget that most of them are casuals. You should know how fickle they are. As soon as the hype machine stops, the casuals will stop as well.

I went out for a bike ride again today and still saw plenty pokemon go players out despite the heat warnings. Not moving much though, desperately clinging to a bit of shade at a pokestop. It's easy to recognize the hardcore walkers, cord dangling from the phone into a pocket with extra battery power I'm assuming.
