Why does the US needs to be involved in everything, this is an Ukranian guy in Poland, what the fuck has US to do with an Ukranian boy in Poland, sometimes I think they are really the most hateful nation in the planet, they really think they have the right to do anything anywhere.

That's alot of "theys" there buddy. I know it's tempting, but generlizing is not such a good idea.

I'm exclusively talking about the government, nothing against the individuals that happens to live there, specially when they are like 450m.

Is it a bad thing when I didn't know the site before reading this article?
Anyway I already feel sorry for him.

This saddens me. I used KAT to download my weekly comic book reads (buy physical, but prefer to read digital) and was wondering why it was down yesterday. Oh well, on to the next one.

What does this accomplish? What about the other 100 peer to peer websites that will take KickassTor place?

That site still exists...in disguises

Ok but that's still generlizing. Some people in government don't give a rats ass about torrents (probably most). This entire thing was Apple's call because Apple sells alot of digital goods and torrent sites are a haven for theft of said digital goods.

But if you want to dig more deeply, you can. For instance, how many of the files stolen and illegally downloaded from that site are US made? Most? So naturally, it's a US problem as much as it is anyone elses. Right?

Good. Now if they'd just start arresting people who download illegally...

If you makes you feel any better, I was fined $200 per title downloaded via torrent up to 8 titles a few years back.  And that wasn't counting my legal fees.  It was an issue of convenience for me, but it certainly didn't do my bank account any favors.  Am I proud of it?  No.  But am I will to share this piece of info to help others?  Yes.

Ukraine is a signatory nation of the Bern Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works.  The US is as well.  As such, the US can pursue in signatory countries those who violate the copyrights of citizens of the US.  Ukraine could, if they so desired, pursue a US citizen for violations of Ukrainian copyright.

Because what this Ukranian guy in Poland did potentially effected the US market which in turn potentially effected the American consumer.  It isn't really that hard to understand.

Noooooooo where will I pirate shit from now?? Oh right from any of the other thousands of sites that do the same thing.
I'm joking of course I don't use Kickass Torrents... I use Pirate Bay
