Instead of ignoring him, we should take this opportunity to really think about how we can prevent this from happening again.

For example, new registered users should have a bigger cooldown time when posting. Or not being able to post at all for their very first day. That would dissuade a lot of trolls.

There's a difference between a brief moment of attention to acknowledge that we should stop addressing him directly, than to keep commenting on every post and thread he makes (which he's doing at a disturbing clip)

But yes, as Wright said, it seems there's a bigger problem here that could be talked about as well

That suggestion would be detrimental to new members while not changing anything for the better when it comes to alt accounts, because such personalities would simply create a dozen of spare accounts in advance to have them ready when they need them.

But they can already do that.

Detrimental, but not a deal-breaker. If we were to take actions, unfortunately, new members would have to suffer for it, but anyone who wishes to register is still able to do so. Waiting 24 hours is still a much better way to control it than, for example, the registration procedure of NeoGaf. Then moderators would also have time to properly examine these new accounts, as well.

Nobody was able to disprove my arguments, so its now confirmed that the ban was unjustified and IM right. Thanks @ everyone.

If i get banned for making a general statement about fanboys that COULD be misinterpretated, others need also get banned for blaming me bichtign against nintendo.
Nobody was able to disprove this.
