Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft warns you if you play your Xbox One too much

There's been a handful of deaths related to excessive gameplay as of late. You save the player, you avoid a lawsuit. Everyone's happy (and alive).

This actually happened to one of my friends that I used game with mostly World of Warcraft.  He was skinny, half or full Japanese, but smoked.  He saved up to buy his PS3, told everyone at work all that it could do.  They thought it was funny, but his enthusiam was charming.

Finally the Friday came, he got his PS3 with God of War (I think.)  He proceeded it to play intensely over the weekend.  On Sunday he walked into his family and said he wasn't feeling well and would they take him to the hospital. I understand they worked on him a long time, but could not save him.  It's not clear, but I think it was a heart attack or something from not getting up and moving around (can also get blood clots and other things.)

It was really just sad.  He was very shy, but a super nice guy.

He was 37. R.I.P Glen.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

I play my Xbox most of the day and haven't got that notification before.

Dude.  I was sort of serious but really joking.  Now, I feel like a dirty ass.  I need another shower:

Sometimes people accidently stumble into the truth.  I just wanted to share his story in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Happy Scrubbing!

I always thought the call from your Dad in Earthbound was extremely charming, so I don't mind these things as long as it's not super intrusive.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Nice. But this is nothing new... I remember I used to get this message on some Wii games, like Wii Sports Resort. I think 3DS used to send a similar message as well.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Sadly I'm spending less time with games because of life stuff these days. But I certainly deserved one of those last gen.

Based on my profile, I think I completed over 250 games on 360 and spent many hours with many other games.

I think those were more about people potentially being injured by using the device. The Kinect gives those messages regularly.

I was sore days after playing hours and hours of DBZ on Kinect. It wasn't even a good game, but a nice workout.

No, I didn't mean these ones. I mean the ones talking about play time. It happened all the time on some games like Wii Sports Resort.

Don't tell me how to live my life Microsoft.
