Forums - Gaming Discussion - We need another X-Men game.

I would think that X-Men would be the easiest super hero game to crack but we still havent had a superb X-Men tittle. X-Men Legends series was ok. They didnt really do well in emphasizing the various mutants. There was a semi class system involved and mutants were just put into groups. SNES games by CAPCOM were fun, but they were just typical beat em ups.

What should the developer prioritize in a X-Men game? X-Men is not about a singular character. People will be expecting a big cast, but at the same time that will more than likely dilute every character vs just a few memebers

What genre?

Who should develop it? Platinum games developed X-Men would be a cool assuming the effort is there. How about CAPCOM? They have a good history with X-Men

What do you want from an X-Men game?

I'd like either a side scrolling beat 'me up like X-Men arcade or an action RPG like X-Men Legends. Platinum or Behemoth could handle the first one. Maybe Arrowhead for the second one?

I actually loved the Xmen Legends games, as well as the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance (not so much the second). Would very much welcome another game of that sort.

Just generally speaking I think it's a shame Marvel don't seem to have a particular interest in AAA games these days. They have so many properties that would make for great games

Have guys played or watched the Platinum games developed TMNT? The game itself is barebones, but what it does have is the structure for a team based action game.

something like this but with a better budget

Too bad, Activision does have rights and they don't make X-Men & other Marvel characters seriously anymore, just a cash grab nowadays.

So, here's my wish. Tecmo Koei should handle this with awesome studios, Team Ninja & Omega Force.

Save your question, i want boobies! fapfapfap!!

Activision still has the license to X-Men? When was the last they did anything with it? As far as I know, when you buy the use of a license you have to do something with it over a time frame. Just cant sit on it

Honestly I would enjoy an open world one where you play as an unknown Mutant (with a choice of abilities at the start) that becomes a member of the X-men later in the story. I don't feel like that their is a particular X-men I want to be and if the game has a mandatory choice people will be hating on it (again Wolverine, eww cyclops, Beast is boring, Storm..Why do I play as a Lady, etc...)..

I said join the X-men but an option to join the Brotherhood would be nice aswell...

Lego X-MEN should be a thing. That way they can have fun with it instead of trying to make it serious.

the wolverine game was really cool!
