Sure if you want to get into the semantics of the word plagiarism and its practical application here. However, doesn't change the fact that it is rather pathetic that someone making a speech about someone trying to run for the most important position in his country, and arguably the world, is ripping off words from someone who was doing the exact same thing eight years ago. |
Are you serious? The wife of a canidate that copies other's words because she likes 'em versus a canidate who lies constantly. Which one is worse? Which one is the greater issue when selecting a canidate for the US presidency?

There is a fairly big difference between "copying" a greeting such as "hi, how are you doing?" and copying 66+ words of a speech verbatim, if you were to put that speech into plagiarizing test software it would show up instantly as a copy and not original work. As others have said, if this was a copy of something which is used in day to day speech or as a template somewhere which Michelle used... then point to that rather than suggesting that you can't be plagiarizing if you just copy 66 words directly from something else, that would be enough leeway to be able to copy the majority of Pop music without issue. |
It's just a speech though. It's not like she copied her book and changed the title. Seriously, this is harmless and some are acting like she kicked a puppy but yet they're willing to overlook Hillary's constant lying? Ugh. From what I seen from some in this thread, "Trump's old lady copies obama's old lady's speech, so how could he be president? We can't trust him to be president".
I'm not saying that you do any of that and I haven't read each post in this thread. There's so many things that are ass backwards in the US, it's a wonder why people don't walk around backwards and talk like ace ventura did.
