PS VITA = UNDERRATED!  But in my case, I'm playing VITA games on the PSTV.

I cannot describe it, but there is something very progressively novel about the playing VITA games on a big screen televison.  And it's amazing that you can get so much out of a small plastic box that's just bigger than the size of a cellphone.  Of course I'm taking about the entrie experience of a "miniaturized" console, projected on a big screen, sitting back on a nice couch, Dual Shock 3 in hand and with ambient lighting behind me.  But my gaming tastes on the VITA are not mainstream since I believe the main attractions are the niche JRPG like titles.

So finally to my main point, I bought Xblaze Code: Embryo, Xblaze Lost: Memories and Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters all for the... PS3!  But I wondered if I should have gotten those for the VITA instead since all three of those titles are virtually the same between the VITA and the PS3.  One, it helps support VITA sales.  Two, the cases take up less space on shelves.  And three, I like seeing the round icon of the corresponding games on the VITA/PSTV desktop.  I did buy The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel for the PS3, but I did read that it is the better looking verison so I'm cool with that.

Well, that's sort of my "hindsight" rant about my more recent game purchases.  Anyone want to trade their VITA versions for my PS3 versions?  ;)

The VITA is lovely altough there isn't a big difference between ps3 and vita version (most of the times) in recent days this has shifted a lot since now games generally come on ps4 and vita and the difference is quite big.

The PSTV is nice and silent, it runs games well and supports the dualshock 4 and the VITA interface is much better then the PS3 interface (mostly faster) but I wouldn't really be upset about not buying the VITA versions.

If you want to support the VITA, but the new released, like odin sphere and stuff so people keep making games for it, sony won't for sure, its proven that for years.

Just sell your ps3 versions and buy Vita ones.

I am planning on buying odin sphere, but i dont know for which console. The ps4 version has 1080p and 60 fps, but i would like to have it for my Vita.

What would you say?

I prefer my side-scroller on handheld to be honest. That is why Vita version has been a no brainer choice for me.

Love is over rated 

I find myself preferring to game on my Vita too. It's just super convenient, and it feels like a more manageable ecosystem than PS3/PS4.

I've always loved handhelds and the Vita is no exception. It's a beautiful system with many great games. Also, I never owned a PS1 or PSP so it's great being able to play many of the old games from those systems. I definitely prefer it over my PS4, although it hasn't surpassed the PS3 for me yet. If a game is on the Vita and PS3/4, I will pretty much always chose the Vita version, just for the convenience. I plan on buying Odin Sphere soon on my Vita as well as Dragon Quest Builders, even though it's digital only.
