Forums - Microsoft Discussion - So, we need to talk about the Recore collectors edition

High quality, hand painted statue. Seems pretty open and shut.

I'm not into collectors editions, but I'd take that over most of the cheap shit that is usually thrown into those things.

I too thought it was overpriced when I first saw it, but I did some research and learned the same things others have said. The statue is high quality, higher than most of the Collector's Edition statues for other games. It's hand-painted and pretty big. I'm actually more bothered by the lack of digital extras; no soundtrack, no in-game outfits or weapons, etc. Digital extras cost them nothing to add to a collector's edition, but increase the value for potential buyers. It should be the curent price but with some digital goodies added in.

it says hand painted but doesnt gurentee that the statue will end up looking good. How many times we see these very expensive statues where the preview looked completley different to the final product?

Proud to be a Californian.

Weird, Uncharted 4 came with a giant statue and an art book, steelbook case and of course the $60 game, and it was $119. Same for Fallout 4 and pipboy, and MGS V with the robotic hand.

But why no limited edition with just the steelbook case?

It's by comcept, right? After Mighty no 9 it may be their business model to get more money than the games are worth?

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
