I think whether or not you'd enjoy a pirate game is a better question than an Assassin’s Creed game because it's basically the best pirate game on the market.  Well I guess uncharted 4 is a pirate game but I mean one where you play as pirates in their time. 

Do I need to play the games in between II and IV to understand what's going on?

Overall I thing I liked Black Flag more for a number of reasons, but Rogue had several individual aspects that were better. Definitely a fun play.

I definitely think black flag is better and really want them to do a black flag 2 which would be awesome as it would be next gen exclusive.  So big graphical leap over black flag 1. 

 

I was expecting rogue to be a shit sloppy money grab but was shocked to see how fun and well made it was.

It's the only mainline AC game I haven't played yet. I have it, just haven't got around to playing it. I might around winter time since there's no new AC to play (which I'm perfectly OK with).

I just bought it on the Steam sale for 11 Euros and I'm very excited.

Like many others I liked the first two Assassin's Creed games, but thought the series started to feel boring with Brotherhood, but then Black Flag came out and rocked.

Still I don't feel at all excited about Unity or Syndicate.

I wonder if the next game is still rumoured to go back in time, to ancient Egypt or something. That would be incredible.

I quit playing the series after they decided to split the story up between gens. Releasing Rogue on Ps3/360 only and Unity on PS4/X1 was a Dbag move by UBI. They've lost all my sales from here on out with this series.

So I've gotten 100% synchronisation and completed most of the abstergo challenges.  All trophies earned except the ones for using the cheats which I'll get soon.  So close to platinuming this beautiful game.

If I let politics affect my gaming I'd not have played this gem.
