I know I sound like a broken record but I really hate this seasonal release thing.

I want to buy the physical release of this game, but will it ever be done?

Eyedoll is the last character in Season 3 to be added. You never know. The beauty of DLC can add future ones.

Also there could possibly be a Season 4 if the game continues on its success.

Yeah same here. Maybe this business model is working for Microsoft, but I imagine there are a bunch of people like you and me who aren't interested in buying Killer Instinct a la carte, and will wait until the game is finally, mercifully done.

The game will probably be dead at that point. Unlike SFV, KI wasn't a full price release. It like $20 a season. As long as it's doing well they are going to add more content. I don't have a problem with the format. It's better releasing at $60. Then charging for DLC on top of that.

How about no DLC at all? Just release a complete game at launch and let the market decide if $60 is too much. And if it is too much, scale down production costs and release at a lower price point.

That's what they did with KI. It was a low budget release with limited modes and a small roster. The game sold well enough for them to add more content. They've been upfront about that.  They've been added content in seasons. Honestly Capcom could have learned a lot from KI. 3 seasons of KI cost the same as SFV and has  lot more content and a larger roster.
