Why is it that Pokemon GO is treated as the most dangerous? It's a fad that may sizzle down and eventually just have actual pokemon fans and some casuals play. Snapchat, facebook, instagram, etc etc pose much bigger risks.

Ever since the smart phone was made, our privacy has weakened significantly. With all the technology around us, there's no doubt that we are capable of being stalked by someone anytime and anywhere. Our phones, watches, television sets, cars, and even houses have fused with technology. Any person with some knowledge can easily start tracking you down.

Also, if people are so concerned, you can always cover the cameras. Not hard to do.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

In a post Stuxnet, post PRISM and (Insert trusted company here) hacked, world, we should be seriously weary of the pace of technology this advanced. I'm not a technophobe but I don't want the data of every move I make in my own home to even exist, let alone for it to be recorded and used against me in some manner.

Then don't do it? You're making it sound as if there is no way to turn shit off.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

If you don't like it, don't use it.

Your telling a gamer not to game in the next best way to game? Nah. But I will do, I'm just allocating a room to the use of VR. But there are ways I can't get away from it, other peoples living room for example.

You suck at paranoia then. Maybe it helps you to know that this conversation is currently monitored and saved in the cloud.

It's OK as long as it can be avoided relatively easily. That said, I don't like too much data being collected, and it should probably be a law for it to be illegal to collect any more data than you need or expect to need in the very near future (i.e. there are existing plans for using the data in the near future). Also, intelligence agencies and other authorities should have no access to this data without a serious, targeted suspicion.

Each time I hear about someone updating their facebook it comes with another little prying nugget in their business.  "Tell us even MORE about yourself.  We need to know MORE... for SAFETY!"

"You should be banned. Youre clearly flaming the president and even his brother who you know nothing about. Dont be such a partisan hack"
