Forums - Gaming Discussion - Anyone still actively playing Hearthstone?

I ask because recently I really got into it again and I'm having a good amount of fun. I need some people to talk and maybe play a few games against.

I'm not the greatest player or deck builder but I hope that some day I'll improve if I just watch enough of Kripparian^^

My Battle.net handle is Viv #2453

I stopped playing when they announced the change in format which made half of my old cards worthless. I think it was a good idea for the game, but as a free player, all it really does for me is make all of my decks garbage.

What's keeping you from playing wild? BTW there are a lot of fun viable decks in standard. Also Arena and Tavern Brawls are still wild.

I haven't really played before this change but I do own most of the cards. I see no problem with the change. The only thing I would change is giving 2 ranked chests for both standard and wild. That would certainly encourage more people to play wild.

Never tried it myself ;/

Well I guess it's your lucky day then to give me(and you) a free card pack!

I have like 30k dust but I usually only log in for arena

I tried to be a free player back when it launched but I'm no where persistent/good enough to make it work. Eventually I let it slide and now with the reset being basically thrown back to a basic deck is daunting.

I played to rank 20 when they first made the change, to have a first look and it's still a really fun game, but I don't have the money to spend to suck in arena and I don't have the patience to suck in constructed.

I'm too stubborn to play wild. It doesn't feel like I'm actually playing the game the way it was meant to be played so it just doesn't feel good. I know the game is designed with standard in mind (and balanced with standard in mind) so playing Wild just doesn't feel right.

Again, I don't have a problem with the change. I think that it is great for the game. It just doesn't mesh with the way that I want to play. Its 100% on me.

I would play more arena but I can only get so much gold. It's my favorite format but I seem to still suck at it badly. Recently had a zero win run right after a 9 win run.

They didn't really remove that many cards, not enough to make a big impact anyway. It's not like all the decks are suddenly weak. There are a few standard decks that could easily reach Legendary on Wild. In the end it's all about Deck synergy and less about pure card quality. There are a lot of budget decks that do very well in ranked.

Fair enough. But look at it this way, now you have the chance to try out entirely new stuff without being dependant on some of the older cards. Playing standard is really fun actually and I don't really have the desire to play wild even though it has some of my favorite cards.

The meta is pretty refreshing right now and there are basically Legendary decks for any class.

Yeah, the thing is I need to unlock all of those cards (also from what I've heard, the Warrior heavy meta is super boring)  -.-
