Best PlayStation controller?

Original PlayStation controller 5 3.33%

DualShock 3 2.00%

DualShock 2 14 9.33%

Sixaxis 1 0.67%

DualShock 3 13 8.67%

DualShock 4 114 76.00%

Total:150

Wouldn't it be he DS4? It looks like the PS controller is the same one each gen but with tweaks to make it comfier. The overall shape looks the same with the DS4 being the most radically different from the 4.

Dualshock 4, but even that one is bad compared to X1's controller which is the best controller ever made imo.

Agree on this. Sony made some meaningful improvements to the DS4, but it's still inferior to the Xbox controller.

The only one to not crap out on me halfway though a generation - Dualshock

(Granted I don't have a PS4 but a cousin and a friend's DS4 have already shit the bed for both of them since launch)

I still have both of my launch controllers, and i've played a ton of games since launch.

Same all my DS4 controllers still work perfectly.

The DS4 is the most comfortable, but its starting to break down on me. Battery life is crappy now and the left analog nub is wearing down.

Aren't they all pretty much the same controller though? Sony hasn't changed much since the dual shock 2

They've mostly been the same since Dualshock 1, but There are little differences between the exact dimensions and weight. Plus, DS4 was a MASSIVE departure from the standard Dualshock design.

DS2. The last DS controller I really enjoyed using.

DualwhateverPS3launchedwith sucked. DualAxis? The DS3 was better, but paled in comparison to the 360 pad imho. The DS4 is their worst yet imho, except that PS3 launch one. Too small, worthless touchpad, incredibly short battery life, and the analog nubs rubber lasts like a week, lol.

Errr....

1. The Dualshock 4 is bigger than an XBO Controller and the biggest DS to date (so how is DS2 your favorite?)

2. The Touch Pad is just used as a button in a lot of games (it's basically just a massive button) , yes the touch feature itself isn't used for much but it's really useful as it can be used as another two buttons (left side and right side).

3. The battery lasts a good 10 hours at least if you're on dim setting, and takes about 20 minutes to charge, and it has a rechargeable battery built in you don't have to pay extra for.

4. All 3 of my DS4 controllers have had no issue with the rubber and have owned two of them since a couple of months after launch.

DualShock 4. Even with the low battery capacity, it's by far the best. Anyone saying anything different it's just worshiping the past. DS4 has a more adequate size, better sticks (more stiff and bigger), better triggers, better L1/R1 and a better grip.

The previous controllers were too small and not as ergonomic. R2/L2 on PS2 weren't that good and the triggers of the DS3 were terrible.

My only complaints about the DS4 are the battery. It could be more on par with the second gen DS3 (around 20 hours). The D-pad isn't actually that great. I think the best D-pad Sony ever made was on the Vita. If it had the same size of the DS4 one it would be perfect.

Edit: forgot the Share button. That thing is freaking amazing, love it.

^ No actual experience with the DS4.

Which, I mean to be fair the poll never says our answers need to be based on reality.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
