Democracy is so sad, it so easy to fool people, this was pure theater but now this son of a ***** is stronger than ever...

2016 is being a terrible year for my faith in humanity, I gotta be honest.

Yes, people in general ('the sheep') are usually easily fooled, manipulated and distracted.

And while there are indeed some bright spots for humanity, one only needs to study History not to have a lot of faith in humanity. We´re a deeply flawed species.

Terrible coup. If I didn't know any better I'd assume it was orchestrated by the Turkish equivalent of the UK labour party

Not sure about Erdogan supporting ISIS. I was at a DFID and NGO meeting a few years back about Syria and long and short of it is Turkey as supplying rebels to fight ISIS, but not in partnership with the west. The west isn't happy with this and suspicious. Turkey doesn't want to be caught with their pants down the way Britain was.

The UK sent £600 million in aid to Syria ignoring Islamic NGOs that were on the ground and the money mostly ended up in the hands of ISIS. The UK was tricked as there are over 150 rebel groups in Syria split between extremists, government loyalists, and rebels fighting both the above.

This is a class case of ignorance as pointed out before where many think we will be better without Erdogan when realistically the coup could have made things far worse.

A secular government could have gone into Syria backing the wrong faction and opening Turkey up to more attacks. It could have destabilised Turkey more like it has happened with Iraq and Libya.

The more Islamic countries fall in that region, the more unstable they become, the greater the consequences for everyone living in Europe.

I don't want our 2 cents creating another shambles like Iraq.it's like we have learnt absolutely nothing.

It's becoming clear that the Middle East can only be governed by either religious authoritarianism or military authoritarianism. Bad times

(Should Turkey start bombing the US now...)

What a mess. I wonder if all those judges and other people he just fired or detained will be replaced in a democratic way :/

Rumors of explosions and gunfire at Incirlik Airbase. The US has 5k troops and dozens of nuclear weapons there and the UK has a several 100 airmen there. If shit goes down there a US/NATO invasion wouldn't surprise me, you can't risk those lives and you especially can't risk nuclear weapons. Hopefully the rumors are false.....

Edit: explosions could just be sonic booms from F16s taking off

Edit 2: Incirlik Airbase official Facebook account denying it all

Meh, unlikely. Not quite the situation around for wishful thinking. Plus Kurdish factor.

For the region to go down completely out of control along with considerable chunk of Eurasian energy market, you need to take down two major oil producers there (Saudi Arabia and Iran) and one major oil pipeline to Europe (Turkey). Since Iran is out of question now within any reasonable deadlines, that leaves us two, that'd be the first one it seems. Three little niggers walking in the zoo, a big bear hugged one and then there were two...

At least that'd be absolutely worst scenario. Those who doesn't like Erdogan (who does?), do not start pardaing just yet, that's not a good news for everyone around, d'oh.

Moderated for "ten little niggers", I guess? A classic line from classic novel not used in insulted manner? Have you censored eveything that doesn't match rules for political correctness, or just that? Miguel, you're insulting my intellectuality.

Alt account and original account (mai) moderated.

Jesus, Miguel, you fucking dumbshit, I have more alts and IPs than you could count. Just quote me the reason for original ban and I'll leave you alone, I can't read it if you ban me, stupid :D
