To be honest she's not even that good looking. She's "pretty" but she's not exactly a knock out, so it ain't the looks.
Ditto for Bieber ... he's not that talented.
Say what you want about say a .... Mariah Carey, probably the 90s equivalent to a Taylor Swift, but she has more musical talent in her pinky than these two combined (she can *sing*).
Looks shouldn't matter.
Also, both Katy Perry and Taylor are extremely overrated.

Taylor Swift is obviously very overrated but is still 100 times better than Katy Perry in almost every sense. Katy Perry is pure garbage.
At least 1989 is a decent pop album, empty and superficial, but decent, Katy Perry albums however are an absolute overproduced torture and her live voice is horrible.

I know she collaborates, but for example, Blank Space, probably her most successful song, is all hers. One of her albums was entirely written solo by her, no collaborations. I am strictly talking about writing though, producing and mixing is another story.

The only female singer I listen to would be that of Fleetwood Mac. As for most overrated I would believe that would go to The Jonas Brothers. I even remember some little fuck on this forum stating they were the best band ever.
