Video seems it was edited carefully to avoid shots of the massive amount of geometry pop-in, seen in other videos.

Hopefuly that is something that wont be an issue.

I doubt it will be worse than Minecraft or something like that but it is also running on PC as well so if you have a really beefy PC, play it on max in 4K.  The thing about this game is that things litterly arn't there before you get to them so thats why there isn't a more cleaner LOD transition.  Eitherway, the gameplay I have seen doesn't bother me.

If the game is good, its easy for me to forgive a lot of technical shortcomings.

Don't want to watch, don't want to watch, argh I saw all the pictures. Looks awesome, 3 weeks to go now. This will definitely end my current break from gaming.

Still don't want to watch that video yet how will others see your discoveries? With 18 quintillion planets (whether a US or British quintillion) there's no chance of happening on an already discovered planet if everybody starts at a different spot? I we go for the much smaller US quintillion, 18 quintillion is still 180 million times as many planets as estimated in out own little Galaxy.

There's nothing in these videos that you'll ever see. Watch it.

I don't want to diminish the impact of seeing the game in motion for the first time :)
I'm hyped enough already.

I'm just envious because I haven't got the strength to ignore it.

The PS5 Exists.

That's a really really small planet when the camera zoomed out. I'm hoping planet sized planets are just being kept a secret.

Loved the graphics upgrade.

Planet vary in size. The planet you're talking about has been estimated to be half the size of the Earth. If you think half the size of the Earth is very very small then The Witcher 3 will disappoint you.

No that planet is closer to 1/100 the size of Earth. The guy who said it was half Earth's size corrected himself on reddit.

Plus it's not about comparing with other games. The Witness is one of my favorite games yet it has an open world just 600 feet wide. The reason I want planet sized planets is that for years Sean has said the planets are near Earth sized, and that's the type of experience that seems it'd be best for NMS. If most/all planets are dinky like the ones in trailers then I'm going to be spending far less time on each planet than I expected.

Maybe so, but there are planet sized planets as Sean said. Planets aren't all the same size and that looks like a moon to be (and others).

I really hope the planet sized planets are just hiding, because no measurable planet we've seen has come close to Earth sized. The object that the camera zooms out from could be a moon, but even still it'd be a very small moon.

I'll laugh if the planet I randomly start on ends up being 10 times the size of Earth, erasing my fears instantly haha.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the gaf posts where they talk about it would you?
