Forums - Sony Discussion - Tekken 7 1080p/60FPS on PS4

60fps is not that weird achievement for a Fighting game, that's a standart in the genre, since forever... nO achieving that framerate would be the weird thing... And is running on UE4, a well optimized Engine, so the FullHD resolution + Steady High Framerate is no brainers here, guys.

Well unless they're making some sort of visually cutting edge game, 60 fps and 1080p is expected. Based on trailers, Tekken 7 is not that.

The best looking fighting on 8th gen is UFC 2, at a measly 30 fps. :-O

no they wont. black ops 2 was graphically even superior to ps3/360 and sold horrible. Yeah it had some framerate issues, but many pw3/x360 games hat those as well and it never effected sales.

Same goes for Assassins Creed 3 , fifa 13 and co.

Yeah but those were on Wii U, the console that recieved 0 advertisement, if, when those games released they advertised the Wii U saying "the best version of  *insert game title*" they would have succeded

doubt it.

you can doubt but you can't be shure about it not selling well: almost any game sold better on 360 than it did on PS3, so how come now most games sell better on PS4 than X1 ? oh right, it's because it's got better specs and is heavily advertised...

I wouldn't say UFC2, yeah looks stunning, BUT the graphics aren't demanding as in games were You can interact with environment, as on tekken, DOA, MKX, and even SFV.

I think that so far MKX is looking better this generation, and would say Guilty GEar Xrd Revelator too, funny enough, both games uses modified UE3. But I think that Tekken will look GREAT, the backgrounds, details on them on the characters, all the particles and otehr effects, the lighting, shadows, 3D character models, so far what I've seen, Tekken 7 Fated Retribution (The recent update Not the original Vanilla arcade one) will become the best looking game this gen.

There's a notable improvement so far:

The character models, arena, and visual polish are just better than what we're seeing other fighting games. But its 30 fps, that allows for a lot more polish. Hence, arcade fighting games are generally built around the consoles to be 60 fps and that's often a limiting factor for pushing graphics.

Even looking at that picture of Tekken, its got a great style but nothing amazing. Frankly, that could be 7th gen based on DOA5.

I looked up some video of Tekken 7, based on what I'm seeing it doesn't look much better than DOA5.

The character models certainly do not. But I'm sure It'll have an edge on textures and other post processing effects.
