We're a few years into the 8th gen now, and it's safe to say we have a pretty good idea of what currently available console hardware is capable of.

Neo and Scorpio are looming on the horizon, but in the here and now, are you happy with the amount of power 8th gen consoles offer, or would you rather have paid a higher price tag to have gotten stronger hardware in the first place?

I'm happy with the current power as there is no way I'm paying more than $500 for a console when a PC can give me so much more for that amount of money.

Unlike the majority here, since I've done this query already in the past, i would surely buy a more expensive console with no problems. Gaming is my main hobby and i don't love money just for the sake of ownership, i love to spend money on things that bring joy into my life. BTW, i have friends with more expensive hobbies, the rich bastards...

PC is for people who play alone or with online friends

That's the difference. I play with console because I like to play with siblings.

As long as both systems can play the same game, I'd enjoy the cheaper option. I don't care about the extra power, and I'm cheap...

When you consider you can get a pretty darn better console for the cost of around 2 games extra I'll always think it's worth it. This was easily the weakest gen we've had yet in terms of hardware.

Definitely! I would game solely on PC if it weren't for it being digital driven. The fact that most games don't run at 60fps is ridiculous! I don't care for the resolution, just give me 60fps ffs.
