Forums - Politics Discussion - A great human died today. R.I.P AbdusSatar Eidi

As I said above he at the age of 92 died on 9th July 2016. He was the founder and owner of the eidi foundation. One of the world's largest welfare organizations in the world and a very simple man who wore one pair of clothing until it completely wore out and lived in a small house and gave everything he had to helping others. He refused to leave his country for treatment of his disease and truly believed in people and his country unlike any other man I know. I hope you all know of him and remember him as he was one of the greatest men in the history of the world

Before this I had never heard of him. So I did quick research on him. Im in awe ... truly a beacon of humanity, and one this world will be a lesser place without.

Thank you

We need such a person to represent our religion to the world. We have/had such a magnanimous leader and ambassador of Pakistan and Islam and the media focuses on faces like daesh.

I read about him a few months ago. What a great man. If only there were more people like him in the world.

Just in case anyone wants to know, here is a little bit about him:

Video is low quality and in urdu, but you can make or the subtitles.

It's a shame he only got mainstream recognition after his death. I just hope his family don't ruin what he built and carry on his legacy.

Surprised no one else is talking about him. :

Media has all the time to talk about the Kardashian's new clothing, but can't even give heroes like him a shoutout.

Then again, I don't think Eidi would want all the fame.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

A great man. He sure did live a very productive life.

Also, Wikipedia says he was 88.
