I think we are seeing a pretty big shift in the looks of the community, there are likely a lot of new players that haven't played so much Halo before and that can be hard for old-timers to swallow.

I think that's the case. There seems to be a growing disconnect between people who prefer Halo pre-2012 and those weaned on Halo 4 and 5, and modern military shooters in general.

Agreed, and a few of us who actually like them all :). The post-2012 community will likely never reach the levels of how it was during Halo 2 and 3, but it can be lively just the same.

Not surprising, it has the best multiplayer imo. I don't think Bungie-style mp would gather new players, even though they were popular back in the day.

I'm envious of you

I wish I could like them all. But I'm stuck on the wrong side of history

They've done a great job finding their new fans and sticking to them. Impressive stats.

Well deserved. Now we only need splitscreen back for Halo 6.

Side note, i don't like most modern 'military FPS and actually dislike CoD. And i think 343i still has to improve a lot on the campaign side. But at the same time they do a lot of stuff right, like Spartan abilities which work great in campaign as well as MP.

I like 2,4,5. Reach is okay but I'm not a fan of 1, and 3.

That's an unusual combo. What makes you like/dislike those?

I went from playing Halo 2 to Halo 1 when I first got the OG Xbox so it felt like a downgrade and 2 is the Halo game that got me into the series. I didn't really like how Halo 3s story ended. Halo Reach was better than Halo 3 and 1 but it wasn't as good as 2. My main complaint with Reach is the abilities it had. I loved Halo 4s single player and I felt like the multiplayer wasn't that bad. Halo 5s multiplayer is probably the best multiplayer I've played this gen so I'm in love with it.

Been playing since Halo 1. This Halo would be the best Multiplayer if they included mainstay playlists like Team Doubles and Team Snipes. They are missing shit still
