Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo opens a worldwide portal for developers

This sounds incredible! They are being really open about every aspect of making a game. They need to expand this to the NX as soon as possible, maybe after they officially reveal it. Great job Nintendo!

It's pretty neat to see and so far, it looks to be a win win situation..

Honestly, this is something Nintendo should have done years ago. They're really lacking in 3rd party relationships

Only Nintendo and Microsoft have this.

Does it take you to another dimension? :-o

A dimension where Nintendo does the right thing.

That sounds like a nice dimension. I'll start packing.

It's amazing how in the last few years Nintendo has been working so hard, and in the right direction, to reach indie/small developers, and how hard it is for them to get big publishers/developers on board.

Anyway, good job Nintendo. Keep pushing in that direction.

Honestly, I find myself increasingly OK with that dynamic. I've found that the best games of this gen are Nintendo games and "indie" games. So if NX supports games made by Nintendo, Retro, Monolith Soft, Intelligent Systems, and Next Level Games, and also secures titles like Runbow, Shovel Knight, and Freedom Planet, then I'll be more than happy as a consumer.

Nintendo didn't answer me on their previous "developer" site. Not gonna try this "portal" anymore.

As I understood it before the PS4 launched, Sony had some similar service? I could be wrong though. But considering how bad Nintendo's 3rd party relationships have become, this is what needs to happen if they want any kind of support.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I was able to create my developer's account in a few minutes. This is a step in the right direction. The dev kits are still too expensive for me though. For now, I can only develop for PC, Mobile and XBoxOne, because every retail XboxOne is a developer kit once you download the developer mode app.

My thread for teaching VGC some Nigerian slangs

To me it sounds like they are scraping the bottom of the barre hoping to find that one idea that will take of from a small timer who thinks they are a developer.
