F.B.I. Recommends No Charges Against Hillary Clinton for Use of Personal Email

WASHINGTON — The F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said on Tuesday that the bureau would not recommend criminal charges in Hillary Clinton’s handling of classified information, lifting an enormous legal cloud from her presidential campaign, hours before her first joint campaign appearance with President Obama.

But Mr. Comey rebuked Mrs. Clinton as being “extremely careless” in using a personal email address and server for sensitive information, declaring that an ordinary government official could have faced administrative sanction for such conduct.

To warrant a criminal charge, Mr. Comey said, there had to be evidence that Mrs. Clinton intentionally sent or received classified information — something that the F.B.I. did not find. “Our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” he said at a news conference.

The Justice Department is highly likely to accept the F.B.I.’s instruction. Attorney General Loretta Lynch said on Friday that she would accept the recommendation of the F.B.I. and career prosecutors in the case, after questions were raised about an impromptu meeting between her and former President Bill Clinton at an airport in Phoenix.

Mr. Comey’s statement came three days after F.B.I. investigators interviewed Mrs. Clinton, a sign that the case was winding down. He described an elaborate year-long investigation, in which the F.B.I. examined multiple servers, read 30,000 emails, and interviewed dozens of people.

Well I'll be damned. They aren't biting.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Wow, that's a megaton. Maybe now I can stop reading bumper stickers that say "Hillary for Prison" and forum comments that suggest she'll be in jail while Trump is being sworn in as president.

Although I fear that new conspiracy theories will pop up to fill the void left by this email scandal.

I never thought anything would come of it. The whole email thing was always just a way for the news organizations to boost their ratings. Everybody wants to hear dirt about presidential candidates.

InB4 "The feds were paid off" or whatever other conspiracy we might get to hear.

Well a person with sense can read between the lines. They recommend no charges but they sure as hell made it known that she is a careless person when it comes to classified information.
Now I ask you this America, would you want a president that is this careless? As president her carelessness is going to get people killed.

No.

I'm voting for her, and if you take a minute to realize the only alternative outcome if she doesn't get the presidency, then you may want to, too.

Well, the Drumpfkins are certainly going to lose their minds over this.

This part made me laugh:

"Several of those pertained to the C.I.A.’s drone program in Pakistan, which is a covert program, though it is widely reported in the Pakistani and American news media."
