Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Eiji Aonuma all but confirms Skyward sword HD

From ign https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vBCCkR7zns

With all the hype surrounding BOTW this tidbit of info seems to have crept under the radar. As far as PR speak goes this is the closest you'll get to outright confirmation. My guess is that they began developement as soon as TPHD was finished and i predict that it will be released sometime in 2018.

My reasoning is that he would only use the term "definately" if SSHD had been greenlighted because he would never use that term otherwise, we all had an inkling that MM3D was in developement a couple of years ago and when asked about MM3d he never gave anything away or said anything as concrete as this. That's my opinion anyway.

WiiU/NX dual release. I'm sure it won't be hard to bring it to the U and the NX, specially if the NX is compatible with the wiimotes (and it will be). And it will give WiiU owners another game, that's good too.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

If they redo the entire control scheme, I would consider picking the game up. As it stands, the control scheme was novel on the Wii, but it got really old, really fast doing the same repeated sword swing motions with the Wii remote. Overall the game had several major issues for me, but the annoying motion controls were top of the list.

That's not the fault of the controls. It's because Aonuma doesn't know how to do action so he made every enemy into a puzzle.

I LOVE ICELAND!

Hardly, if they working on SS HD that most likely will be 2018 title (no way they will release Zelda remastered and new Zelda in same year, they will push Zelda BotW hard through holiday season also), and Wii U will most likely be discounted next year, it basically dead now not to mention next year.

Funny, considering I just started playing it again! And I will say, the environments can sure use the upgrade to HD, it looks jarringly pixelated on an HD TV... Still my favorite game of all-time though!!!

Well, It could still come to Wii U even if it releases 2018. Nintendo said that the NX is not a replacement for the Wii U.  But honest, that's a lot of Zelda games in the same generation.

If it releases on WiiU that would be every 3D Zelda released in 1 generation. Man Nintendo really have milked Zelda this gen.

But if they do remake this game, they better make a Groose amiibo to go along with it!
LET THE GROOSE, LOOSE!!!

I don't see this happening. It's unlike Nintendo to release a remaster so soon after the original, and the game would suffer greatly without motion controls.
