You know what you should do? Go to your gamestop/bestbuy/whatever and pick up cheap(but fun) games for the wii. There are some really good games for the wii that cost 10 bucks or less.

As for the wii u, your kid will love it. If he likes pokemon, then pokken is a game he'd enjoy. Otherwise there's a lot of good games for the wii u.

-splatoon
-wind Waker
-twilight princess
-Starfox zero
-super Mario brothers I
-super Mario world
-Mario 64 on the eshop
-Mario Galaxy 1 and 2(on the eshop)
-Kirby games
-mario kart 8

Games that you could enjoy alone would be Bayonetta 1/2 and Xenoblade chronicles X.

My suggestion is that you go with motion controls for Splatoon. It took me three attempts beforeit felt right. I kept fighting against the controls but they sre better.

I also suggest the Metroid trilogy if you haven't played it yet. Gaming at it's finest.

Anyway, don't you see the preimium refurbished?  Hence, It will be a  fairly smaller waste of money if NX has backwards compatability!

In addition,  probably  he hasn't a wii, so with wii u he can  have access to the huge wii  game catalog! :)

 

P.s  He  or his son or maybe both, wanted to start playing wii u games now, should they be waiting for  almost 1 year (or even more ;) ;) ;) ) for the NX,  if it has BC? Do you mean, wait for the disclosure which could be in three months? Nintendo  may not say anything about its specs then...

Agree with this too.  I at first didn't know you could disale the motion controls so I got used to them quickly. Then when  worked out you can turn them off, it delt akward without them lol.

Bolded: I hate to say it, but Nintendo already confirmed that Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the last Wii U game (which will also be available on NX).

It might not be 1080 and 4k and all those fancy things but it is super smooth and very responsive! Typing on it is almost easier than my phone which is made for typing. Also I'm impressed with playing games solely on the Tablet it's like having a Wii U portable. Works far better than my Vita/PS4 remote play which I use frequently. After 1 day I'm very happy with my purchase and by getting a Wii U now I might be more inclined to invest in an NX down the road.

If only more people like you just tried that goddamn thing instead of sticking to their prejudices.

Is say basically any Nintendo game bar one or two is okay for a 4 year old, doesn't Nintendo make their games aimed at kids that age?

Yeah, Nintendo games is for kid
But don't forget
Super Mario 3D World is a hardcore game
And Zelda games puzzle is hardcore as F

Otherwise, you should get Mario Kart 8 so you can play with him
Super Smash Bros + DLCs for competition
