Wii U! Well I guess I technically "go one for my son" 😉

Hes never played a Nintendo console before since he's very obsessed with Minecraft and Plants Vs Zombies on the PS4, and his tablet games. His Minecraft obsession/expertise has made him a very solid Mario Maker level builder lol And Minecraft just came to Wii U with special Mario skins packed in! Score!!

As of right now we only have Mario Maker and Lego City Undercover. We are picking up Spatoon next Friday. Hopefully we get a lot of play out of this console since I was worried about the NX coming and Nintendo abandoning Wii U. When I saw Zelda getting a release on Wii U it made me think Nintendo must still want to support the console. Plus there is a lot of games I can't wait to get my hands on! 

If anyone has any suggestions for games for a 4 year old (who gamss at an 8 year old level lol) and games good for adults on Wii U. Zelda definitely has my attention. But other suggestions and comments are welcome!!

You should buy your son Ratchet & Clank for his PS4

Try Smash, Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3d World, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, Pikmin 3. Family friendly games. Also, look into Wii games. WiiU is backwards compatible.

Xenoblade Chronicles X is definitely a game for you that is okay for your kid to watch.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, another good Wii U game.

Bayonetta 2, definitely one for you and not when your kid is around.

Good job on Splatoon. It's amazing.

You might also find yourself enjoying a few others like Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros 4, Mario Kart 8 and Pokken Tournament.

All those can be played with your son but of course for fun. :) enjoy your Wii U. It is a great system.

If he's already playing games like Splatoon, Pikmin 3, 3D World, Mario Kart 8 are also some others I would recommend

If I had one recommendation that everyone will love, it's Mario Kart 8. It's an amazing game with a ton of value with the DLC.

Ratchet & Clank was a day 1 purchase for us (: We also went and saw the movie.. but I was slightly let down.. Love this game though!! 

We almost picked up the Mario Kart 8 bundle.. so that game is definitely on the short list!! I used to be a hater of this 'Tablet' idea... but after a day with it I'm already loving it! It might not be 1080 and 4k and all those fancy things but it is super smooth and very responsive! Typing on it is almost easier than my phone which is made for typing. Also I'm impressed with playing games solely on the Tablet it's like having a Wii U portable. Works far better than my Vita/PS4 remote play which I use frequently. After 1 day I'm very happy with my purchase and by getting a Wii U now I might be more inclined to invest in an NX down the road.
