...I mean, how freaking long Pokémon is still that high?

The special edition is still in TOP 3 after... i don't even remember, is about 3 weeks is still in TOP 5 or even 3?

And even Pokémon Moon and Sun still in TOP 20, i mean, the fuck, not even Infinite Warfare did that crazy on Amazon.

~COMPARATION TIME~

Which is gonna be bigger in November NPD, Infinite Warfare for PS4 or Pokémon Moon/Sun?

Yeah, with the XB1 S 500 gb and 1 tb models releasing in August as well, I expect the Xbox to have one of its better non-holiday months in August. Both of those bundles look more enticing than the 2tb bare-bones release, to be honest.

Unless Sony cuts price next month (which is possible, though doubtful, I think they're going to wait until the exact moment the Neo is revealed) I see it going to Xbox as well. I also don't think Sony cares that much about a month or two of NPD losses, to be honest.

I think that the Slim will only count from September's NPD and beyond. After PS VR + Neo's launch on October, I don't think that the Slim will make much difference for the Xbox, only for the initial sales.

The launch has been brought forward to the 2nd August.

I'm so out-dated, wasn't able to follow the news recently. so this is the why the Slim is in the  top 15-20. Are people really surprise that a Slim, in a country where have 60-70% of the Xbox's fan base, is a few positions ahead of the PS4, which have a Bundle from 9 months ago ?

I thought that the console was in the top 20 with 1+ month before release. But it will release next week.

MS are really not doing themselves any favours here. Yes they'll sell a stack of consoles because of these deals but it's not even out yet and they're giving away free games:

1tb version $350 (is normally $350)

500gb version $300 (is normally $300)

I guess you can't know them for going hard on sales:

I don't think the Xbox One is capable of bringing in MS a great deal of money and instead of trying to make good profit on hardware they've just decided to concentrate on install base and make money on subs and software.

It's just devaluing the console out of the gate though. That's what I find odd. Now their customers will expect freebies with all their NEW consoles and they'll be back to square one again early next year. I see this as making hay while the sun shines rather than a long term strategy. I can see Sony's hand poised oer the red button now and Kaz saying 'Hold it ... hold it ... wait til you see the whites of their eyes ... FIRE!'

You're right but if they didn't majorly undercut the PS4 they would get crushed. This must work for them one way or the other, it's just that the PS4 makes more.

We saw a 9% drop for their Xbox division and since then they've brought the launch of the 2tb Slim forward from 29th August to the 2nd of August and are now adding games before they've even tested the water. Next year, as the Scorpio gets closer and closer, people will be more inclined to wait. I'm expecting MS to announce that the Scorpio could be a ridiculously high price in order to try and minimise the affect on the Slim. Their strategy is a train wreck.

Announcing early wasn't smart in my (and many others) opinion. I wonder what the thinking was behind it. I think they anticipated the Neo will be released soon and attempted a bit of damage control. They deliberately announced some specs to make the Neo look inferior and also announcing first doesn't make it look like they are copying Sony.
