- Polyphony Digital CEO and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi spoke with IGN about things Gran Turismo, including how development for PS3 was hard for Polyphoy Digital

- He said on the development of GT5 and 6 for PS3:

“At the same time, the conditions for GT6 were really against us, mainly because the PlayStation 3 hardware was a very difficult piece of hardware to develop for, and it caused our development team a lot of stress."

“So [GT]5 and [GT]6 was really a nightmare for us.”

GT6 was awesome but I understand their pain. Hopefully GTS is much easier for them and the eventual GT7 too.

Unfortunately, although the PS3 was quite powerful, it was a bastard bitch to get the power out of it.

Every single dev had a tough time with the ps3 do to the cell. The fact that naughty dog made those great games is only a testament to how great naughty dog is

Pretty much.

It's a bad excuse, blaming the system for their shortcomings as game developers.

They only developed game for one platform and they did terrible, can the same be said for Naughty Dog, they delivered two of the finest games of last generation on PS3.
