I know the last 2 years have been boring to many because of the absolute Playstation domination but there's a lot to look forward to.  

In the next 12 months we should have the release of Xbox slim,  PSVR,  PS Neo,  NX and possible the xbox scorpio (that might be a few months over a year).

So 4 hardware releases and a 5th soon after.  What an exciting 12 months it will be. Will they all succeed,  will they all fail(doom) or will some fail and some succeed.  

I certainly can't wait to find out :)

The NX may even feel like two hardware releases if they do the fusion thing. Exciting indeed!

Edit: I wonder if vgchartz will do graph trackings of console variations? If your going to count the NX as a new bar, then it's hardly fair to not also count the neo and Scorpio as a new bar.

Hopefully, Razor is working on the Ouya 2 and will surprise us next E3 with its awesome graphics at 8k 61fps. Also its stellar first party exclusives.

and PS4 slim

Yeah.  Safe to say it's going to be super fun on Vgchartz,  NeoGAF,  Vizioneck etc. 

My wallet is in for a world of pain. These companies are sucking the $$$ out of me!

No idea on winners or losers, but I'm guessing this is my purchases.

1. NX (gotta play my Nintendo games, so until they 3rd party will always buy their system)
2. Neo or Scorpio (depends on price. Don't care about games. Each has maybe one or two exclusives I like, but most my gaming is Nintendo/PC, so I don't buy consoles for games. I think I only have 5 total games for my 360/ps3.  Do not own a one/ps4. Just getting a Neo or Scorpio for the 4k player. I assume they both will play 4k disks, so depending on which is cheapest will probably get my buy for that. My ps3 doesn't cut it anymore for future movie purchases)

The Neo/Scorpio will both play UHD Blu-ray's.

However... At the end of August the Xbox One S will also have 4k Blu Ray support.

The Xbox One can also play back Audio CD's too, which the Playstation 4 cannot, the Xbox One typically has the edge in regards to multimedia playback overall with more general support... And is actually a good reason to own a Kinect for once.

The Xbox One S though is likely to be the cheapest 4k Blu Ray console you can buy for the time being.

I'm probably going to go for NX and PsNeo eventually. (I have been holding out on a Ps4 until now so I might as well wait for Neo now).

Yup, next 16 monts will very exating in terms of hardware and new games for that hardware.
