Lol.... good luck with that. Ninty people hype everything to all hell and back. By their standards, almost every Nintendo game made is the best game in the world. Let them have their fun.

Yep, that's why games like Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, Metroid Prime: Federation Force & Paper Mario: Color Splash have gotten such strong hype among Nintendo fans.

Yep.  And since this is purely a symptom of Nintendo fans you won't see anything like some Sony fans crucifying people upside down for criticizing the second coming of Jesus that is The Last of Us or fans of GTA harrassing and sending death threats to a reviewer for giving GTAV - GASP! - a 9.

Get real everyone, overhype is universal.  It happens everywhere.

As for the hype here, I think the biggest issue is the aggression aspect.  People need to learn to be hyped but not expect everyone to jump on board.

Agree with you. I don't like the idea of relying on hype to sell a game.

Just wait until we see the visuals of the NX version. I have a strong feeling that what most of us will be playing next year will look quite different than what we saw at E3.

You just had to remind me of this.

Honestly, I doubt the NX version will look dramatically different.

If NX does turn out to be a system in the ballpark of PS4/Xbone, we're probably looking at 1080p/30fps with tweaks to things like textures, shadows, and draw distance, but not a drastic overhaul.

When a game series has been relevant for over 25 years, it's understandable that people are losing their shit about a BIG change in game play style.
NO MATTER WHAT, people will be talking about this game for the next year plus.

My bet would be 1080p/30fps with changes to enemy and grass draw distance, increase in the size of the area loaded in full detail, higher res textures, and AA usage.  Which will drastically step up image quality but won't be a giganic leap.  Basically, it will be a lot like The Last of Us.  Assuming a PS4/Xbone ballpark.
