Honestly and I've said it many times, Square Enix should just give the marketing rights to Sony. Their PR department is a mess. They should've garnered a lot of coverage from E3 but it did nothing(exaggeration but close). Even KH 2.8 anf FFXII Remaster trailers had more views than FFXV during E3. What a disaster.

It's not dying, it's just a few months away. People haven't forgotten but a this point, they're just waiting for the game. Much like myself. FFXII Remaster and KH.2.8 won't sell anywhere near as good as FFXV so I think Square Enix isn't doing too much wrong. But they really should have shown off Final Fantasy VII R, and Kingdom Hearts 3 in some capacity, but I guess that'll be next year's E3. Ah, I'm rambling again. FFXV is doing fine.

Check google trends.

I compared Persona 5 and FF XV and they are almost in the same ballpark. Even FFXIII had million miles awat better coverage than FFXV has right now.

Yep. Hype was dying to me ever since Tabata took charge, but it really went dead when I learned they took out Stella.

Uh its not dying? If anything enthusiasm for FF15 is at a high. Under Nomura FF15 might as well as been vaporware.

The e3 showing was pretty yawn worthy for me. Specially the x1 demo! And that PSVR tie in looked terrible as well for me. Its like they put PSVR for the sake of putting PSVR.

Either ways, we will see how it does closer it its launch

People are gonna be surprised with the sales. I used to believe FFXV will outsell Persona 5 through brand name alone but I'm not sure anymore. I did not take into consideration the severe ineptitude of SE in marketing their games. Jesus that E3 trailer on Microsoft conference killed everyone's hype. That's why they need to shock people with a controversy or else FFXV will underperform basing on google trends and the media coverage. It's not going to sell more than 4M. They really need that Sony marketing.

How much do you think Persona 5 is going to sell?

Hype for me died when I found out I wasn't going to get given the time of day, if any any point in the future (Though I want to have hope but I think it's rather foolish when it comes to SE).

Personally I'm way more hyped for kingdom hearts 2.8 and world of FF. The combat in 15 still doesn't appeal to me.
