people have to remember that a lot consoles are being sold where their internet connections suck so PS Plus isn't even an option to those users

I was referring to paying subscribers, gold isn't on PC.

Good news, but PS+ on PS4 is not the same thing like PS+ was on PS3...

They said they have over 60 million playstation users

And yeah, although I don't play online, I made an account for my kids that piggy back on mine to play GW2 online.
I doubt there are that many people with 2 or more ps4 consoles though. But true, I could buy a second one and we can both play online at the same time I think?

I share my ps+ with my brother, my account is primary on his console so he can play online and use all my games, I can use it all on mine at same time. So 2 consoles, one subscription and only needs one copy of digital game for us both to have it.

Not only does PS+ subs bring in profit but it enables Sony to drop the price of their console lower because every console sold is a potential PS+ subscriber that can counteract the lost profits from dropping price, something they couldn't do in the PS3 days. This is why MS can have these fire sales and still have a profitable console division, Sony could do the same and be chucking out $250 PS4s and still make good profit through PS+, they just haven't needed to.
