Forums - Movies & TV - Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition impressions?

Did those R-Rated extra 30 minutes made a difference in your opinion? Made the film better? Made it worse?

What do you guys think?

I watched a review today saying that it's night and day from the theatrical version. I can't wait to see it, but it looks like you can't really watch it yet unless you want to buy it digitally.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Been reading around from supposed people who saw it in the one time theater release last night and I've heard only good thing about it. The main positive I've heard is that the movie is filled in so much better, making the pacing and editing of the movie feel more fluid. Also Superman has some more screen time as well.

However, it's not going to win over the haters still, from what else I've read. I really can't wait for the physical release, day one buy for me.

haters?  Or people who can't stand Gadot's wooden acting and a shoehorned in death in the second movie of a universe?

Ya, if Gadot of all things is something you think dragged this movie down, you are actually a hater lol. I mean there are so many legitimate points when arguing about why this movie didn't deliver, but pretty much everyone recognised her Wonder Woman as one of the highlights.

Damn, I just finished watching this film... I didn't want to believe the movie was as bad as people were saying,

I even thought some DC haters and Marvel fans were hating on it being DC and a gritty take on superhero storytelling... but after watching this sterile-clusterfuck the reception this movie got makes sense.

it's the first time we've seen wonder woman on the big screen.  People were always going to be excited for that.  She executed it poorly with poor line delivery.  Sorry but I don't see how it's a highlight.  I'll give the props for the warehouse and batmobile chase scenes but not much else.

Zach Snyder is a C-tier director that should stick to music videos imho. He's the McG of the past decade or so.

Not one to rewatch movies, especially if they are bad. Willing to double dip if Lex Luthor gets more screen-time. He made the great moments in BvS, great!

The extended cut is a nice little sugar cube for everyone who swallowed the tablet of cyanide that was the theatrical version.
