Forums - Gaming Discussion - Have you ever...not pressed the button or ignore what you were supposed to do?

Only in video-games, when it's funny to see what foul thing would happen.

I don't want bad things to happen in real life since i don't wanna go to jail over pushing a damn button that pretty much had a warning sign, don't push this button... I wonder how the person who are responsible for the atom bomb feels everyday sitting in front of the desk and is totally bored.

At the end of Fable II, yes. At the end of the game I waited too long to shoot Lucien, so Reaver did it for me

Yep, I usually want to see everything in a game so I even die on purpose just to see what happens. It's specially easier nowadays since most games don't even have real penalties for screwing up.

Yeah I almost did from fear of being crippled if I pressed the sign in button. Thankfully nothing bad happened and I was able to play final fantasy vii never having to worry about that experience again!

Oh Wrighty

It's a good thing I don't really care about Final Fantasy VII.

Technically that's not the player's fault. You're listening to Lucien's final words, Reaver just comes across as the douche he is and finishes him instead of you, which he later remarks "Oh sorry, did you want to finish him yourself?".

All the time.  If someone yells at me to "hurry up or X will happen" then I wait to see if X will actually happen.  Usually it won't and everyone will stand around awkwardly.

In Borderlands 2, I waited at the end and Lilith shot the bad guy for me.

One of the best, though, is Far Cry 4.  If you wait at the very beginning like the villain tells you, he'll come back and the game will end after a unique cut-scene.  That's pretty awesome.

Not only that, but he tells a unique piece of dialogue that explains something about the main character that isn't told anywhere else, not even on the normal game. While a small thing overall, it kinda elevated Far Cry 4 above the rest of run-of-the-mill shooters for me, even if I felt like it was weaker to FC3 in some aspects.

For some when Lara died on those QTE's i found it hilarious. No matter where she is in the river's stream she always seemed to find the perfect spike to impale her head on.

Playing the best version of final fantasy 8 without any issues either ;p

Any version that forces the player to manually put the original OST because they chose to go with crappy midi's can't qualify as "the best", I'm sorry.

Not a issue for me at all. Your loss and my gain!

Shows you how even SE doesn't value ff8 themselves compared to ff7 which did obtain the patch ;p

Yeah, but we all know how dumb SE can be at times. :P
