Forums - Movies & TV - Game of Thrones "Winds of Winter" Season 6 Finale Impressions?

King in the North was my favorite part. No other tv show showed this amount consistency throughout its entire run. Best tv show ever.

I would argue that Breaking Bad and Orphan Black have both managed to do so, though OB still has 1 season to go to hit 5.  Definitely the best first six (BB only had 5) seasons of a show ever imo though.

Awesome episode. Wrapped up several loose ends.

This was an amazing episode. Probably my favorite season ever overall. Despite some "fast travels" and stabbing survivals.

Definitly hyped! Too bad its gonna take another year for the next season. :(

Lots of stuff happening, good episode, but the teleportation is starting to bother me. Even when factoring in differing timelines and imagining that all is not chronological, the logistics just don't add up, not even close. Setting up for a truly massive 7th season though, can't wait!

ya especially with Varys, hes in Dorne then next thing you know hes on the boat with Dany heading to Westeros, why didnt he just stay there and wait for them?

It was kinda predictable now, but I thought they sorta rushed the High Sparrow getting his.

My biggest gripe is that the High Sparrow indeed didn't get some slower and more personal date with Mr. Death.

Is John Snow the son of Ned and Lyanna?

All signs point at Snow being the son of Lyanna Stark and The Mad King (a Targaryen, father of Daenerys). Remember the Mad King got Ned's sister kidnapped and forced himself into her and that sparked a war.

You are confusing the Mad King with his son, Rhaegar. He is the one who kidnapped Lyanna and is John's father.

edit: just noticed someone already said it

What an episode. Just amazing. The first 10 minutes might be my favourite scene of any TV show ever. The music, cinematography... Beautiful stuff. So, about this series being slow... What the hell, a lot of amazing things happened this season!
