God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

“I actually did not realise that Zelda was launching on NX when NX launches. That makes me think NX is much more higher powered than I expected, that NX is an iteration probably closer to PS4 than I thought it would be, and it’s going to have a big title to support it.”

Pachter had really done his homework. But his failure doesn't stop there, because he concludes from Wii U graphics how powerful NX is going to be, as if that now suddenly made a difference.

That's nothing.

How about this quote from 2014:

“That’s way higher than I expected, and impacted the physical sales figures by 10% or more,” Pachter said. Beyond that, digital downloaded games — not counted by NPD’s monthly report — can account for 10% to 20% of sales. “It’s really hard to figure out,” Pachter said.

"That's way higher than I expected" and "It's really hard to figure out" are not things an analyst should say out loud.

What the hell is happening?! Pacther is talkin posivite about Nintendo?

Patcher cursed the nx

Just a guy who doesn't want to be bored. Also

There are a ton of people who spout outlandish things and are always wrong on the internet, so why do we give this guy specifically so much attention? I'm genuinely curious.

Other people don't get paid to do it.

Other people don't influence major publishers and developers

Other people don't have an influence on investors.

Other people don't do this exclusively.

Pachter is a joke and worthy of our scorn because he's basically a total idiot and he gets paid to be a total idiot. For comparison's sake, here are the top selling Zelda titles of all time:

Most any one sold on any one console was less than 8 million.  Couldn't even break 8 million with Twilight Princess on Wii, their best selling home console and a cultural fad.

The fact that he said a new Zelda would push 10 million console sales is a joke when it literally took me 5 seconds to do enough research to know that will never, never, never happen.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Really? You want the NX to sell 13m units in its first year? A feat that only PS4 and Wii managed so far and to top it off with a game with a dwindling fanbase?

Dwindling?  I would hardly say that's a fair assessment.  The original Twilight Princess is the best selling Zelda ever (not counting the absurd number of OoT rereleases :P ).  Skyward Sword sold over 4 million with the Wii's reputation shot to hell, the Wii U already announced with an HD Zelda demo being shown on it, in a year competing with Skyrim and with absolutely no advertisement whatsoever.  Not saying it will sell 13 million in its first 12 months but Zelda at launch is a heck of a lot better than most launch lineups.  I mean, Xbone had Rise: Son of Rome and the PS4 had Killzone Shadowfall as their two big exclusive games, neither one of which was memorable in any way other than technical achievements.  And yet they both had good launches and the PS4 had a great first year.  But it's more down to marketing than anything else.  Exclusives and launch titles are tools, you have to use them right.

Those systems sold well at launch because people actually wanted those systems, they care about those brands, and they know those systems will get games. Not really something you could say about Ninty at least not there home consoles.
