Vgchartz seems to have more of these discussions than any website I frequent. And I do frequent many political sites. I do find that no one realm you wants equality when it comes to these things. Well, some do. Some women want equal pay for equal work, etc. But most men who don't like women wanting an even playing field usually rebut with "make me a sandwich!" or something to that effect.

So they want something they already have?

And about that whole sandwich thing, their is this very recent video on youtube called "Who pays on the first date?" were a woman asks the speaker when should the woman start paying on dates and that a guy asked to be 50/50 and in this scenario they have been dating of 4/5 months, the speaker then asks a most female crowd who should pay for a date and the vast majoraty says the man, so if the man is the one that as to pay for dates the least a woman can do is make a sandwich every once in a while.

I do not have an indifference to feminist, I have an indifference to a person calling themselves a feminist that do not present anything more than an immature stance where the only merit to their stance is "I hate men".  There are definitely real feminist issues in a society ruled by by men but this girl opinion isn't one of them. Just because someone call themselves something doesn't always mean they represent it.

Didn't say that. I said that you have an indifference to feminists being sexist and misandric.

I hate that excuse "they're not real feminists". She represents feminists because she identifies herself as one. Feminists are not voting into the club. To the world, she's a feminist because she says she is one. That's all that really matters because whatever actions she takes or words she says, colors how people see feminism. It's no different than how islamic terrorists represent the Islamic religion or how a whore mongering christian represents christainity. Saying someone is not a part of the group they identify with because they are the fringe/extreme element of that group is a petty and lazy way to avoid taking responsibility for their actions or words.

Its not an excuse.  Anyone can call themselves anything but it does not mean that they actually are.  There are pure white people that say they are black and there are pure black people that say they are white but just because they proclaim it does not make it true.  There are people that say they are Christian but do not practice the religion and that is the same for a lot of different religion.   So what if she identifies herself as a feminist, if she doesn't know the first thing what the term means she is just another imposter.

If I take the time to actually do my research and see what a Feminist actually believe in, nothing from the first feminist to your current one states anything about hating men.  Instead it’s about women rights and wanting to be considered equal.  So if someone decides to throw their own personal opinion about hating men and claim this is a feminist view, I believe I am intelligent enough to know that this probably is one person opinion amount thousands who do not share that view.  The key is being intelligent about anything people say instead of just believing something from someone else mouth because they state it.  Its the difference between a person who follow anything someone says and someone who takes the time to know.

So no, I do not believe this young girl is actually a feminist but instead is using the term as a means to preach her own agenda.

oh lol i dont say racist thing , MY POINT is telling the opressed how react to their situation for me is shallow, it isnt addressing the root problem which is there is a structural and class problem in society , telling them naaaa dont hate the society that makes you feel lesser then cause you are of a diffferent sex and skin color isnt the way , and it doesnt bother me as i have advantages , the way forward is addressing and fixing these issues

but people are super dismissive of the struggls women and minorities face , even amaong themsleves despite the parralels but to each his own

plus she doesnt hate men as indivuduals , she hates the society we have created and enfrced

your projecting what you want on me without knowing me

tbh double standards dont faze me

i am man , but tbhh with black with white people , women with men and generally with the opreessed we cant hate the opressed for hating the creator of the society that has slighted them

The idea that women in the west are currently oppressed has got to be one of the most retarded things I've ever heard.

All that's happening here is someone taking advantage of historical male guilt to push their bigotry. That's it. There is no oppression here.

see thats the problem , we arent talking of 3rd or arhcaic oppression , it has evolved as society has evolved, its them getting paid less, treated worse in some ways simply becuase they are women , harrasment on the streets, not being able to do some jobs, rape culture and more, media that reinforces negative sterotypes and more

ALSO WHITE WOMEN=/=ALL women

women of color and minorities also exist, and there is such a thing as intersectionaility

care to explain in western countries that despite having the same level of experience or same position , women still earn less than their male counterparts

the WEST is way better than the developing world but there are alot of underlyring issues that are festering and being overlooked

there is deep rooted sexism and racism that has been veiled in civilites, heck you can see it in the brexit matter

maannnn SHE said she hates patriachal society, not men as indivuaduals, their is a difference but as usual people are running away with what happened and nott what led to it
she does have issues but i do think she isnt the feminazi you think

plus lol man gangster rap and a ton of country music has alot of sexism and is extremely demeaning of women
and guess what no one blinks

Of course men wouldn't get away from it.. It's basically the same as white guilt...
It doesn't matter what you personally did or didn't do, you are not excused from it no matter what.

I gotta laugh at the thought of white women saying they are oppressed in a developed country. I don't think there's anyone more privileged than them.

I see that you also believe in the wage disparity myth. Don't let facts get in the way of your agenda.

On this day and age it is more important than ever to communicate clearly and responsibly. We live at a time where people hate and fight each other for the smallest of things.

Saying you hate any group of people for the action of a few is wrong. She not only hates men, she mocks them and behaves how trolls do in gaming forums. Worst of all, she is a hypocrite.

Harassing, mocking and saying things in bad taste by making blanket statements is never considered a good thing, has never achieved anything good and it shows a lack of sensibility, respect, arrogance and narcissism.

All that matters is that she identifies herself as a feminist and people see her as one which they do. Especially if other feminists see her as one. I definitely don't see any feminists denouncing her as a feminist or calling her out on her misandry. If she's a true to the definition feminist or not doesn't matter because that's not I'm talking about. Perception. She's a feminist pop star and her misandry is overlooked. Hell, it's even applauded. She's seen as a great singer who believes whole heartly in feminism. Young women look up to her as a role model.
