I believe it would be wiser from both parties to re-negotiate the migration part and let the people re-vote after 6 months or so, the difference of 2% is just too small to be decisive

An online petition has gone up for a revote due to the small margin.

‘We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based on a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum’ - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/brexit-petition-for-second-eu-referendum-so-popular-the-government-sites-crashing-a7099996.html

100,000 gets it a debate in Parliament. As I type this, it is at 395,084, and increasing by about 1,000 votes a minute.

To come up with something like that after the referendum sounds like a coup against the sovereign will of the people.

Imagine to come up with that after presidential elections or the like. Suddenly, bam, 270 votes isn't enough for Clinton or Trump to become president! The notion itself is ridiculous and should be left on the waste bin of politics.

Not that it hasn't happened before with the European constitution / Treaty of Lisbon.
The sovereign will of the people, what does that really mean though: 34.7% of the people voted to remain, 37.5% voted to leave, 27.8% did not vote.
Democracy kinda fails with big decisions and undecisive votes.

That my friend is precisely why we have the FPTP system ...

Makes things so much easier to decide when you don't need to account for the don't care crowd ...

The FPTP system? You mean the one where some peoples votes are quite literally more valuable than others? Not really all that democratic then...

FPTP stands for first past the post, not a system with unequal voting power ...

Establishing a victory through a plurality, not necessarily a majority ...

Is there a donation for a new brain for her? She desperately needs a new one without being aware of it.

Yeah, I know what first past the post is. It does have unequal voting power though.

It doesn't give unequal voting power. Unequal voting power is along the lines of having superdelegates in the US democratic (ironic) party ...

It makes perfect sense in big countries where voter participation is not mandatory which leads to lower turnout so no voting is as good as having no voice and that just means that those crowds need to know that they have to participate if they want to be heard ...

Hopefully this starts a chain reaction in the EU. Countries like France, Austria and the Netherlands would all be reasonably likely to leave if given a chance. There are probably others too.

Wait, wasn't the EU created to help prevent a situation like World War I and II from arising again. Is that no longer the case? Does it no longer foster unity between these nations?

There is 1 milion of petitions to repeat the referendum, they are going to debate seriously about this.

I hope it happens.
