PC Gaming is expected to surpass Console gaming in revenue next year :O But I will glady die a second class citizen.

Nobody is being forced to buy the Skyrim remaster and its price will eventually go down. For those who haven't played it at all and own a 8th gen console, its arguably worth $60.

I agree, 60$ is very expensive.

That's a good example of elitist behavior right there.  The irony makes me feel fuzzy inside.  Nevermind that most of the PC gamers on this this forum play on consoles, too.

Maybe you should complain about console gamers who will buy it instead of a company which is there to make money? Console gamers are those who bought The Last of Us like 5 million times on PS4 even though it was already on PS3. Console gamers are those who will buy Skyrim some million times on XBO and PS4 and you complain about Bethesda who will probably make over hundred million in revenue with this?

You know why Sony is releasing so many PS3 games on PS4 again? Because console gamers buy all these games again (well some also for the first time)

You know why Bethesda doesn't sell it on PC to those who already own all this stuff? Because it doesn't make sense to sell it on PC to them because only very few PC gamers who already own it would pay for a version which would look worse as the version they already own with some mods.

It's not Bethesda's fault that console gamers bought a PS4 and XBO even though they can't play all the games they bought on PS360 on the new machines so that you can sell them a new version again. 

It's free for PC users because they already benefit from 1080p+ resolutions and higher framerates, which is really all this is offering.

It did not play great on the 360 compared to other games. Have a friend who played mainly on the 360 and played skyrim on there. He eventually got a PS3 after the 360 broke and played it on there. The 360's skyrim is still very buggy but it's no where near as bad as it was on the PS3 but regardless it played like shit compared to other games on those consoles. Him and me spent alot of time comparing the amount of bugs in those console versions. 

You're right about PC being the better option but it makes no sense to reward a company for a shit product with money over and over again. People at the very least shouldn't buy it day 1 to see what it's like.  Personally, I'm gonna wait til it's released to get a sense of how buggy it's gonna be and what mods are available for it. Most likekly, I won't buy it again.

Well, sadly this is nothing new From Software/Bandai Namco did exactly this with Dark Souls II: Scholar of the Frist Sin. We needed to pay full price to get it on PS4/XB1 while PC owners got a free update with same enhancements AND additions/extras.

Well no it brings in improved lighting and shaders and sharper textures.  Of course, you can get all that and more with an hour's work finding and installing some basic mods :P

Basically, they know they can't sell this remaster.  It just wouldn't work, mods can already make it look just as good for nothing.  But they don't want to not bring it to PC, that would be disrespectful.  So this is their option. 

I guess it would be kind of hard for Bethesda to give the remaster to owners of the older version for free. How would they even keep track of that? Would that be for digital only, or physical copies as well? How would that even work?
