With the general success of Hyrule Warriors (the best-selling musou since Dynasty Warriors 5 in 2005, with the only other one to break the 1 million mark since then being the One Piece musou on the PS3), where should Nintendo and Koei Tecmo take things?

The poll I'll be adding provides some obvious overall directions, but discussion should be more about the details of what you'd like to see them do.

Me? I want to see the overall Zelda content expanded further, and then a few guest characters added. First, here's some Zelda content (from prior to Breath of the Wild, which we don't know enough about, yet) that hasn't yet made it into the game, but would be great:

MAPS:

Clock Town and Termina Field (from Majora's Mask, with Clock Town holding most of the keeps - one other keep being the Observatory?)
Kakariko Village (from Ocarina of Time, complete with Dampe's graveyard)
Snowpeak Ruins (from Twilight Princess)
Lanayru Desert (from Skyward Sword)
Lost Woods (from Link to the Past) - OR Eastern Palace (also from LttP)
Outset Island and Forest Haven (from Wind Waker - same effect as seen in previous Wind Waker maps, multiple islands basically merged)
Rabbitland Rescue (from Spirit Tracks)
Goron Island (from Phantom Hourglass)
Lorule Castle (from A Link Between Worlds)
Koholint Prairie (from Link's Awakening)
Maze Island (from Adventure of Link)
Overworld (from The Legend of Zelda (original game), featuring details from multiple map squares from the original game)

CHARACTERS:

Dampe (from Ocarina of Time) - Shadow type, using the Shovel as a weapon, perhaps with Sharp and Flat featuring somewhere in his moveset, as well as regular Poes and Sun's Song itself, plus the Hookshot in some way.
Nabooru (from Ocarina of Time) - Light type (yes, you didn't misread that), using Gerudo Swords (dual wielding)... and Koume and Kotake appearing in her special attack.
Yeto (from Twilight Princess) - Water type (or ice type, if they add it as an extra type), using a Mirror Shard, with Yeta appearing in his special attack.
Groose (from Skyward Sword) - Fire type, using the Whip, with moves including the Groosenator, his Loftwing, and a Hook Beetle.
Fado (from Wind Waker...'s past) - Lightning type, using the Sacred Violin (eventually called Farore's Violin), with Koroks appearing somewhere in his moveset. Serves to represent the Kokiri in OoT, too.
Zubora and Gabora (from Majora's Mask - Zubora riding on Gabora's shoulder) - Fire type, using a Blacksmith's Hammer.
Ravio (from Link Between Worlds) - Light type, using the Bunny Hood, with moves inspired by the various rods in LBW - Tornado Rod, Fire Rod, Ice Rod, and Sand Rod.
Agahnim (from Link to the Past) - Lightning type, with a weapon named for the thing he wears on his head.
Byrne (from Spirit Tracks) - Shadow type, with the Digging Mitt (hey, what's a better description for that thing on his arm?).
Oshus (from Phantom Hourglass) - Water type, with his Shell Staff as a weapon (although he also uses Oshus's Sword as part of his moveset).
Mamu (from Link's Awakening - also known as Wart from SMB2) - Water type, using the Dream Machine (again, reference to SMB2), with moves inspired by his role in SMB2, along with a few Link's Awakening references.
Error (from Adventure of Link) - Water type, using the Raft as a weapon. Yes, mostly added as a comical character.
Old Man (from original Legend of Zelda - using design similar to the one in BotW) - Light type, using the Wooden Sword. Again, mostly a comical character.

WEAPONS:

Magic Book (Sheik) - Light type weapon, being able to cause Din's Fire, Farore's Wind, and Nayru's Love, as well as Ether, Quake, and Bombos effects (medallions in LttP).
Mask of Truth (Young Link) - Light type weapon, is actually the transformation masks from Majora's Mask (Mask of Truth is just the "default" mask). Works kind of like Sheik's Harp weapon, in that combo attacks establish which mask is "prepped", and then a Strong Attack will use that mask. Giant's Mask would be perfect for the Special Attack.
Darmani's Drum (Darunia) - Light type weapon (or Ice type, if they add it), references the Drums from Majora's Mask, and has moves inspired more from Majora's Mask, such as Powder Keg.
Mikau's Guitar (Ruto) - Lightning type weapon (it's an electric guitar), references the Guitar from Majora's Mask, with moves inspired by Zora Link and other elements of Majora's Mask.
Shadow Medallion OR Lens of Truth (Impa) - Shadow type weapon, with moves referencing the Shadow Temple in OoT and Bongo Bongo as special move.
Sword of the Sages (Ganondorf) - Fire type weapon, references events in Twilight Princess. Sword itself is only occasionally used in moveset.
Phantom Hourglass (Tetra) - Shadow type weapon, with references in moveset to the game.

Troops: Deku, Zora, Anouki, Garo, Gerudo, Yook, Keaton.

Giant Bosses: Stallord, Twilit Arachnid, Odolwa, Helmasaur King, Jalhalla, Aquamentus, Fraaz.

Additional Locations (no keeps, just nice locations for things like "defeat 400 enemies"): Hyrule Field (OoT), Kakariko Village (TP), Pumpkin Landing (SS), Mother Isle (WW), Death Mountain (LttP), Romani Ranch (MM).

All of the above is a demonstration of how much more content they can get from games that have already released. Note that I restricted my list to one character and one location per game - some games could provide multiples.

And then there's the possible guest characters. Pit would fit nicely into the game. So would Marth. Isaac, Shulk, and Takamaru would all work fairly well, too. As for Koei Tecmo, they could include a few characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors, as well as, perhaps, a Ninja Gaiden character.

I'm sure other people will want to see things like a "Super Smash Warriors", or something like that. I'm open to the idea, but I want a deeper Zelda-based Warriors game, first.

Fire Emblem or continue with Zelda

..though they already used most characters from Zelda so if they do, I would like to see better/new and innovative game mechanics rather than characters and weapons

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

Where should they go next? They should go with online features. Online co op would be huge.

Hyrule Warriors 2

That's right I want a brand new game, continuing on from the original, with a brand new story. I knew, going into HW, that the game would be fun. What I didn't know to expect was how well done the story was, the cut scenes, the dialogue, etc.

What I'd also enjoy would be an expansion of the villain campaign. Playing as Ganondorf with other incarnations as your goonies was amazeballs.

Fire Emblem Warriors.

HW2

Switch!!!

Whether its HW2 or something else. I want KT to use Nintendo IP in these types of games! I hope they realize that big impact it had using Zelda.

Pocky Lover Boy!

I would love a full sequel for NX, all of your ideas are fantastic. I would also love for them to do Fire Emblem and get the original English voice actors for an epic story.

I do hope some day they would release the new dlc maps on Wii U though... 3DS version is so inferior...

For the sequel though, I hope that they would increase the defense of each character as well when they level up instead of just strength. Some of those challenges are damn hard even at max level when an enemy can wipe out a whole row of hearts in one blow (I hate you Imprisoned).
