these exclusives certainly show the power difference (and quality of first party devs as well) between the PS4 and XB1. but in no way is there a generation difference. games like battlefront, the witcher and the division looks amazing on XB1.

Not a generation behind, but definitely behind.

With Scopio though, things will most likely be reversed. If Sony doesn't adjust the specs of it's PS4 Neo. It hasn't been revealed yet, no official release date announced either. So anything could happen.

But I think they won't adjust anything, and the Scorpio will enjoy the limelight as the most powerful game console on the market for a while after it launches. Making it a "generation above the PS4 Neo", to use your words.

In any case, the PS4 does have the most technically sound games right now. No question there. But the XBO still have quite a few lookers as well. Quantum Break being one of the most recent ones, despite having some technical flaws.

4 games targeting 30 fps are going to look great on current gen however Ms exclusives usually go for 60 like Halo 5,Forza Motorsport,Killer Instinct.
The games on Ms side that target 30 look great too Gears 4,ForzaHorizon,QuantumBreak,SunsetOverdrive the real diference is resolution in order to hit say God of War lever of graphics Xone would have to probably render it at 900p so i wouldn´t call that a generation of diference.

PS4 and XBO are both a generation behind were the 8th gen should have been anyway.

They look better but not a generation better. Sony seems to push graphics and many games seem very linear. Not sure if they think they have to because of their fans or why they do it but to me it seems as if graphics is a huge priority for Sony studios but not for MS studios.

But games like Quantum Break or Horizon 3 (which has a more open world) don't look so much worse, especially in gifs like you posted^^

Assuming PS4 is a generation ahead of XOne in terms of graphics and presentation, what level of personal importance do you attach to that generational difference?

Big difference is that Sony keeps putting out AAA single player, story driven franchises. People love their singleplayer games man, just this E3 they announced GoW, Spiderman and Days Gone. The new God of War won't even have a multiplayer mode.
